No one told me that (though I knew there was a story you were sick I just never cared enough to get a specifics. Nice try at self-flattery though 8) ),
2 you sent the pms and you know it.

1. Obviously someone told u for u to come back w/what u did. Self flattery? God u are really a sick bastard to add that to ur post. Really really demented. U have just revealed ur true self to everyone else here.
2. Once again, I NEVER sent u a PM in my entire life. U have stalked me on this board & called me a guy & worse since shortly after I got here. U have insulted me over & over. Why would I send someone like that a PM & talk about Perry w/them? That makes no sense. I had no reason to PM u. I dont even like u. U are a LIAR. U know it.
3. Guilt u? No. But as I told many people, one of the reasons I didnt post here was b/c I didnt need ur shit following me around. I dont need it now either. Ur sick & deranged. I'm done. I'm sure that will make u very happy. U won.

This is not something I thought I'd see from you.
Slam me if you want but damn that was colder than an icicle breeze up
Soto's backside.
Don't think I recall you ever going this route when it comes to a female poster
(HOTS is not included in this debate) and yes I do think you men
are softer on us.

Well neither of us were members of eachother's mutual admiration society. I wouldn't expect JRox to know of my ailments even if I did broadcast them.

SURE, they could have. They had just pulled off a major U.S. tour without making Jeff official until a month afterwards. As another poster here reminded me, the UK fans were starved for Journey, and Soto has many European fans. We and other diehard fans might have had to agonize for another several months, but we (the diehard fans from the U.S.) would not have had any impact on the success of the European leg of the tour.

The Cain theory sounds plausible. Whatever "energy" he personally might have shown, might just have been a feeling of relief that came from having to use taped vocals anymore, and that the DL/Journey audiences were digging the new lineup.

I'll probably get crucified for saying this, but the fact that they were pulling out old songs that had not been done since the Perry days, and perhaps even rarely then, and giving these songs to Deen was a sign that something was wrong. Yes, I know that Deen has been singing songs in concert since Augeri's last couple of tours, and that JEFF was perfectly OK with this (he is a standup guy, even if I haven't agreed that he was the best singer for Journey). Deen's singing was an experiment on Arrival, which worked. His co-singing, and singing a song or two to give Augeri a break was a novelty that became quite impressive (I'm not sure that there is anyone else, except SP, that should sing Mother Father from now on). Deen's singing became an absolute necessity when Journey did the three hour shows and Augeri's voice faded. But, when they added Jeff with his range and power, it seems strange to me that they would find 'new' obscure classics for Deen to sing, while giving Jeff, "Remember Me." Jeff did a phenomenal job on that song, BTW, but why would they use a song associated with Augeri, when the band was trying to distance itself from Augeri? If they were going to dust off some lesser known songs, why not use some that were more suitable to Jeff's voice?

I don't know which shows you attended that Deen sang the "obscure" songs, but when I attended in Florida (2 shows) and Leesburg last month, it was Jeff, not Deen, singing those songs. Rubicon, Opened the Door, La Do Da, and most recently, When You Love a Woman were all sung by Jeff. If Deen sang Mother Father, certainly that was appropriate because he absolutely kicks ass on that one!

What I'm saying is that I don't see Deen's singing as any sort of 'sign' that something was in the works. The problem is that Jeff was wowing everyone, and I guess that was something that Friga & the Fro hadn't counted on, at least not this much this fast. All eyes were on him, with occasional glances their way. What was developing was the JSS fans were attended Journey concerts, and the rest of the band was just a band. Ego is a terrible thing sometimes, and having not one, but 2 that are larger than life is a certain death sentence for anyone with an ounce of drive and personality.

I agree with those that say Jeff is too good for Journey. I'm glad that he's out now. His star is rising, while theirs is fading into obscurity. The only 'legacy' that Journey will end up with is Steve Perry's wonderful vocals, and the stupidity of a once great band.

And also, Where Were You, normally sung by Deen, was sung by Jeff starting on the Lep tour.

Line Of Fire and After The Fall were also sung by Jeff.
