Jeremy vs. Hugo...please explain

I ve seen him in person ,Jeremey resembles Perry slightly,but is about a foot taller, and not enough to freak you out. he is a cool dude and can sing his ass off ,and makes it look easy doing it

Then that would probably make him about Jeff's height, so he too is too tall to sing for Journey.

On the subject of resemblence, I think stevew2's avatar looks more like later pictures of Perry than Hugo does, Hugo being the 1981 version, and more like Perry than SA ever did (never understood how some thought they looked alike), of course that's just one picture.

I've had that same thought. Even though there Jeremey doesn't really look like Steve, he does have more of a natural resemblance than Hugo or Augeri. There are pics around that show it more than Stevew's avatar. Hugo, to me, only resembles him in the way that some Elvis impersonators resemble Elvis when the get into character.

Neal himself brought Hugo's looks into it nine years ago and is a valid point. My off-hand comment just arose from my thoughts that I could possibly have mistaken that picture of Jeremey to be one of Perry, had Perry been onstage performing in the last decade, I didn't intend for it to be seriously considered. I personally am not concerned with the looks of the new singer, and probably won't be concerned about the voice either, unless new material comes from the next lineup, which I have my doubts.

Nothing to do with now. Some Augeri fans have said for years that he looks like Steve P. The Hugo fans have been coming on here for a few weeks saying he would be a better choice because he looks the part. NMT and I were just posting our opinions on the subject. That's what we do here. We post opinions. What do you do on a messageboard?

These are people that are piecing things together and trying to come up with the most likely scenario, thanks to those who floated my name within hours of JSS being terminated. There is nothing official, nor is there any ticking schdedule that may force the band to reveal any info before it's time. \
