Journey on PBS?

I had a discussion today with some friends who just watched Chicago/Earth Wind and Fire on PBS last night. I have seen the the Eagles, Moody Blues, and others over the years (not including Lawrence Welk). Mostly older bands whose hits were years ago as well. Once Journey settles on a new singer, any chance we will see them raising money for PBS?

Not a prayer. They are only interested in raising money for themselves.

I wonder what motivates these other bands to do it? It seems like they have similar numbers of hits, about as far back (70s/80s), sold similar numbers of albums, etc. as Journey. Just to keep their name in the spotlight and try to generate interest for their next state fair/indian casino gig?

The other bands are trying to remain in the public eye. Journey is content to live off of the "65 Million units" as that shit stick Friga so bluntly announced to everyone at the time of JSS dismissal from Journey.

They tried it once with the Directv freeview when Augeri was with them. Wasn't received very well from what I understand. Most people went "who the fuck is the guy singing, that's not Perry"

Journey are a band of individuals, looking out for themselves. ALL of these guys are pricks to the 400th degree. Go down to the Bryan Adams forum and read the post, "Some Insight." See how they do things. They are true brothers, unlike the hollow words of Deen Castronovo, and Ross Valory. They go everywhere together and think of each other first, unlike these selfish dickknobs in Journey. Seriously, go read it. Then you might see how a band can be happy, united and successful. I am happy to say BA has sold more CD's than Journey. THAT makes me happy, especially after having to open for Journey in 83. It's all about class, something Journey does not have.

Yeah they used to be all about the music, brothers till the end. When that stopped, so did the magic. That is just my opinion.
