my take on the situation--perry for a journey farewell tour

Postby mikemarrs » Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:51 am

i think journey could kill two birds with one stone by doing this.my take on the situation---get steve perry for a farewell tour in '08.do a farewell tour in the united states and around the world.salvage the integrity and legacy of the band and go out on a high note and let it be.then end the band after the last concert of this huge tour and everyone will be happy.

Great Idea! Make the call, Mike. Let us know if Steve is ready now or perhaps ready in the Fall.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Salvage the Legacy? What legacy? You mean salvage the shitpile, right?

Stupid ass.

The shitpile is way to big for any salvage effort at this point. Even Perry doesn't have waders big enough to keep from getting swallowed up if he comes back. Besides, he gets paid every time the testicle twins play any song he co-wrote. Why the hell would he want to come back? That's free money.

Steve Perry will never tour again...not with Journey, and not solo.

I love ya dude, but Perry isn't attached to the band any longer, legally, and when you play live, the credited songwriter doesn't get anything.

That topic has been beaten to death around here - that might have something to do with why it was shut down. Just a guess on my part, but I'll go out on a limb and say that now that this one has turned nasty it will suffer the same fate soon enough. :)

I just can't quit laughing.Let Mike have his dreams. I had those dreams and if it doesn't happen with Perry in a year. if someone will stop the bandwagon, I will get off. I just can't risk breaking a bone jumping at my age.

Maybe Mike is actually Perry, trying to keep things stirred up and his name in front of everyone here. :D

I am not sure he is $#@&* (I can't even retype it all) as you describe above. Perhaps he is, perhaps you are, perhaps I am, perhaps Perry is, perhaps... What's it matter. He posts here like everyone else for whatever reasons. Obviously, none of us have real lives or we wouldn't be here, so it gives us something to do.

Besides, the name Mike Marrs is kind of Cool. Sort of like Dash Riprock or Charleton Heston or Oral Roberts. :?:

If I'm Steve Perry, I think Mike Fucking Marrs is a dickweed and should run his head over with one of the spare trucks with no tires that sit in his front yard. Get one of the chikckens to step on the gas pedal.

There....Now How I did become Steve Perry......And by the way, "I wouldn't even share a meal with dick and head....."
There, is that enough!!!!!

Hey AR, I just got my Super Bowl Ring for the Steelers....Awesome shit man!!!!! I'll send you some pictures....

According to Herbie, Perry is the invisible 6th man on stage. He's paid just the same as the rest. As long as Journey tours and makes money, Perry will get his cut.

If it were to ever happen.....why must it necessarilly be a "farewell tour?" :? This would be my worst fear confirmed that not only would he come back ( ) but that as a condition OF his return he'd bring the curtain down on the band?
