OT-Good Movie Rentals

Postby piecesofeight » Sat Aug 04, 2007 5:33 am

I haven't rented that many lately, but the few I have rented have pretty much sucked. I guess I expect a lot more from movies today, better twist, etc..

The Contract, Breach, and The Number 23 didn't really do anything for me. Watching Premonition right now...we shall see.

Anyway, PLEASE suggest a good movie to rent! Thanks!

Watched Premonition the other night cuz my wife was dying to see it. It wasn't very good. The best part was the gag reel in the special features. Make sure you check those out, Sandra Bullock's hilarious!

Thanks..lol..I am about one hour into it at this point. I will finish it just because. Doesn't seem as bad or slow as the others right now.
Out of the three I mentioned above, this one is holding my attention the best.

I had netflixed 300, then went out to buy it. all those lovely young men in their tiny little loincloths. Yeah. Good times.

ahem.

Premonition wasn't bad, but predicable. #23 was just a mess. Zodiac, however, is brilliant. I've got the Contract coming next.

ooh yeah I gotta go buy that before Sunday. I haven't seen it but a friend of mine said it's almost as good as Braveheart! That's exclusive company.

Can't wait to see Zodiac! Hopefully this weekend will happen.I've been hearing too that it's a magnificent one.

Couple weeks ago I saw Population 436.It's a thriller/horror with a very interesting subject. Can't say it has increased my heart rate too much, but there's enough creepiness and suspense to make it worth watching.

Actually, there was a point where I yelled,LOL...When I recognized one of the characters as being played by Fred Durst - the lead singer of Limp Bizkit! :o
He is a surprisingly GREAT actor! It took me awhile to realize it's him, that's how good he slipped into the character's skin. Not telling which one,if you rent the movie it's fun to discover him.

Anyway,a good 1h and a half.

So what did you think of Premonition? Did you watch the gag reel?
