If not Jeremey(who has my support) would adding Mr.Chalfant as new lead vocalist change some opinions of our favorite band? I really like his voice. Also, anyone know if his CD of Journey covers is ready for purchase? Last check it still showed coming soon but with an old due date.

From all accounts, his voice is no longer strong enough to handle the Journey catalogue. Good voice but not up to it at this point.

I happen to be a Kevin Chalfant fan. Have been all the way back to The Storm days, thats all. What the hell does being from Florida have to do with this question? We must not be THAT dumb down in the Sunshine State because I see your state tags here all the time everywhere I go SO if we are that dumb it doesnt bode too well for you now does it? I stated earlier just today that I accepted the fact that Mr.Perry is not coming back a long time ago. I dont believe I have insinuated any belief that I think otherwise.

Some Soto fans aren't quite willing to move on yet, gator. I like Chalfant also, his solo "Running With the Wind" cd was great.

I agree with you Raiderfan, I have listened to some of the Chalfant solo stuff on the net and really like it. I thought the second Storm CD was great even though most didnt even know they released a 2nd one. I'll find that Running with the Wind and definetly pick it up. He is one of the artists that I never pass up when I see the stuff in the indy record shops.

I wasn't the one who reported it. I've never seen him live. Saint John reported this. Said he enjoyed the show but the Journey stuff he did wasn't as good. If I'm mistaken, he can correct me.

I think Chalfant would be another good choice for Journey. He has writing skills and can sing very well. The jury is out on Chalfant's current ability to cover the Journey catalog. SJ seen him recently and said he wasn't that great. I seen him back in 2002 at the IL state fair before the Journey show with Augeri. Chalfant kicked Journey's ass that night with his show. At that time, he could easily cover the material. I guess we'll all find out in October in SB.

Kevin has a great voice...one of my favorites. His Journey Tribute album is very good, IMO...who needs more of an audition than that?
