They will make the announcement on Monday and it will still suck, knowing this could very well suck because Mikey won't be there to make Dave sound good, and one never knows how Eddie will be doing, which will affect how the music sounds and what the mood will be like. Shit, if Eddie doesn't stay sober and with Mike not being there to save Dave, it could be awful!

You don't think Eddie's tobacco-drenched vocals will be able to carry Roth? After all, he did sing lead on "How Many Say I", right?

All you fuckers who never saw Dave with Ed are out to lunch. Trust me when I tell you that the general public won't give a shit who plays bass for these guys (even if we do). Dave is still an amazing performer. You'll see.

I've seen Youtube videos and heard enough reviews of his shows in recent years to know that I'm not missing much. He never could sing in the first place and he sounds even worse now. He looks like a Vegas lounge act, for crying out loud.

Dave should be checking lap bars and seat belts at the fuckin' carnival. That dude is finished. His voice is fried. Though they'll use EVERY piece of technology to make his voice sound different, it won't be enough. And without Michael Anthony? Dear Lord are they fucked.

I will NEVER forget the time I saw Roth in person. I was at a Bowie concert, and in he struts, one girl on each arm. He had his chest thrust out so far, he rivaled the girls, and his butt cheeks were squeezed so tight, it is amazing he walked. He literally STRUTTED. Sunglasses on at night. Nodding to people in the audience as he passed as if ANY of us really gave a damn. He was being laughed at as he passed. Ridiculous and sad. I've seen so many other celebrities, and not one of them behaved like this turkeybutt. Fuckin egos... gaaaahhhhhkkkk.

You want your rock stars to be nice and polite? Maybe you would prefer a nice boy band?

If I had my choice between N'Sync and Van Halen, I'd go see N'Sync. I'd rather sit with 15,000 screaming teenage girls than 15,000 people that look like they work for a traveling carnival. VH (Roth era) has long had the foulest fans on the planet. Who else would listen to their garbage?

I'm being 100% serious. I love the Hagar years. If someone gave me front row center for this year's lineup, I'd decline.

Roth doesn't look like that anymore DaveCT.

He's toned down and got the lettuce clipped.

His vocals will be just fine, and perfectly passable. The sheer joy of seeing him outfront w/ Ed again will cancel all the drawbacks.

He DOES look like Palmer a little there.

And as for Big Al, well, I'm waiting for Forrest Whittaker to walk up ask him for the Earth Wind And Fire tickets at any time now.

He looks a helluva lot better there than the bleached blond, half bald hairdo from a few years ago.
