STRIDE/ESCAPE - Another Tribute Band

Postby geminix » Sat Sep 01, 2007 4:32 pm

I was checking out youtube looking to find out more on Jason Kelty and his band Escape and I found another Escape Tribute band. They're not bad!

Not bad, The drummer is good, and the guitar player is good.

Its not every day you see a ROBIN guitar.

Good guitar player and the singer's not bad, either.

This band I like. I saw 'em open for Styx in Beaumont (Tx) in '05 as Escape. VERY nice guys. When I heard a few Stride songs...I was blown away by the guitar work. If anyone can find them...try the songs Alive and Imagine. The guitar players will enjoy them at least. :-)

These guys are great. I got to see them perform as Escape back in January. Unfortunately, the word around here is that they have broken up. Their website is still up - www.strideonline.com. Click on the audio/visual link and there are more videos of them playing as Escape and Stride.

The musicians in this band have some VERY serious talent. Singer's strong, but not crazy about him on DSB. Although it's probably because DSB is outside of the natural range of his voice.

The original stuff on their website is pretty damn good. The rockers sounds like a cross between Rush, Dream Theater and Triumph. That instrumental "travesty" totally has the Neal Schon melodic vibe with heart going on.

If it's true they broke up, it's too bad. Would like to hear Hugo or Jeremy work with these musicians. Real talent here.

Haven't ever heard anything "official" about a break up, but their site hasn't been updated since last year. Also, they haven't played since January. It is too bad.

WWY was really good! 8) Majestic started out good, but the harmonies weren't there, but all in all, not bad.
