Sorry to bore you all, however, this has become important to me. Please feel free to play along or completely ignore.
This actually woke me up in the middle of the night.......
So much has gone on here - pleasure and pain - insight and some basic stupidity (sounds like the typical family) - and most recently someone has decided to try and smear the name and image.
While I can understand Andrew's decision to change the name to the MRJF - it almost feels like we are hiding. To me, this is the Journey forum- good, bad and ugly - warts and all.
This is where anyone can love or be pissed at the band (individually or collectively) - anyone is free to absolutely hate anyone else's favorite singer (and the fusion fans can be pissed there ever was a singer). There can be week long arguments regarding any Journey song and who wrote it or who sang it good/better/best.
You can hate friga and fro, perry, augeri, herbie, Irving, "Justin Timberlake" ( frank) or each other.
However, the muic goes on. We cannot hate the music. We cannot make the music go away.
It is. It simply is. And that cannot change.
So my final suggestion for a motto "The Journey Forum - Where the Music Lives"
Because this IS where the music lives. We help keep it alive. And, if there ever is any new music, it will probably live here too.
Of course the final say is up to Andrew - however, yes folks there is another poll
This poll consists of the entries that received a vote from the previous poll, a couple of late entries, and my latest.
Happy polling!!
