Post pictures of your dogs here. This is Raven. He was kicked down the steps by his original owner and his paw was broken in two places. The vet had told us that he might have a limp the rest of his life. Fortunately he healed well and has an insane verticle leap.

Raven when we got him.

And after he came to us, very healthy and happy, graduating puppy pre-school:

Post pictures of your dogs in this thread.

Here are some pictures of my girls. The first three live on my Mom's farm, except for Lilly who usually is game to go on road trips. The last one started out as mine but was given to my aunt and uncle when their pup passed away.

Lilly likes a good cigar:

Sally-Anne is nothing short of a bubble chunk these days:

Charleigh passed out after a long night of partying:

And Carleigh is being lazy:

The wife's stupid Yorkshire Terrier. I wouldn't miss him if he were gone tomorrow, but the carpet shark likes me better than anyone. Probably because I ignore him all the time:

Holy hyper cow, Batman. That is strange! Charleigh is a chihuahua pomeranian mix. She gets on my nerves something major.

Lilly is a parson's jack russell... Sally is a blue heeler (best breed EVER)... and Carleigh is a mutt.

Raven looks like a shrunken black lab. His snout is a bit more narrow, and he has chihuahua ears when he lays back. Otherswise he is forever stuck looking like a labrador puppy. He is now 3 years old.

He was kicked down steps? Did you rescue him or how did you find him? Charleigh was a rescue from an abusive owner. As was Carleigh.

Raven was rescued by a couple who posted his pictures in the cast on a Baltimore Ravens football message board. (Hence the name "Raven"). The woman worked for a vet, and the first owners had brought him into the office and couldn't afford the surgery bills, so they took him in temporarily and were trying to find him a permanent home.

My wife and I saw the picture and inquired about him. We visited the couple and decided to adopt him.

That's so nice. I hope you guys didn't have any trouble getting him over any people issues he may have had. I've had Charleigh for two years and she still starts into shaking and hyperventilation from time to time. Gorgeous dog, Ed. Thanks for sharing the pics. :)

Great thread, love my dogs!

CJ, American Cocker- smartest dog I've ever known. Sadly we lost her this past Spring at age 14.
Image

Jessie, American Cocker (13) - she's probably on her last legs too. Was just diagnosed with an oral tumor, she's feeling better after some antibiotics for a related infection, but is having surgery this week to remove the tumor. Hopefully after this she'll still have a year or so left since she's pretty healthy and spunky otherwise
Image

Luna (Spaniel X, 4 years old) and Nibs (approx 1.5 years, Chihuahua/Min Pin X). Luna needed a youngster to keep her gso we adopted Nibs from the shelter. He had been rescued from a crack house.

This is my Peke boy, Max...aka Devil Dog. He's a fiesty little shit, but I love this little guy! He was born with an upper lip deformity, and a small hole in his palate, which was repaired....but his upper gum/lip goes up sideways slightly instead of being straight....but that doesn't stop him from anything! Had he been 'normal' looking, he could very well be a champion:

Ah, a thread close to my heart. I'll chime in:

Riley is on the left, Roxy on the right. Riley nearly died days after we brought him home. Vet never did figure out what was wrong with him, thankfully he recovered ;)

Here is a pic of my two angels... Chinook, on the left, was a full-blood Rottweiler. He never thought he was a full-grown dog, he always thought he was a puppy - even at 140+ pounds. He passed away in July, 2005. Nunook, on the right, was a mutt. She was a rescue dog - some neighbors (in a rental) quit taking care of her so we took her in. She passed away this past June. I miss my babies, but have some great memories.

This is Denver, he's a Saint Box Chow (yes, a Saint Bernard, Boxer, Chow mix), and not only does he think he's human, he thinks he's an animal hating human.

Thanks Michelle! It's true! He comes in the house and wanders all around until he's located everyone-he searches all the kids bedrooms at night to make sure they are all there then he plops down in front of the TV. If another dog comes around he freaks out, he hates other dogs! He's a good babysitter too, if the girls go outside to play he is always right next to them, if they are in the sandbox, he's right next to the sandbox, if they are jumping on the trampoline, he's under the trampoline. For a while our youngest daughter would always climb up the outside railing of the porch and we would have to tell her not to, he started to catch on to this so as soon as she would start climbing up it he would put his front paws up on the railing so she couldn't get past him. And whenever Kirk beats me (fake of course) Denver gets between us and pushes Kirk off of me! (Ahhh, my HERO!)

This is Abby. She's a chow/collie mix that we rescued from the Humane Society about 3 years ago and is now totally rotten.
