Thx Bobbie I worked hard on those. Now if only my voice would start working again so I could do some more. I got sick back in JANUARY and its not been the same since. I am scared that I broke something in there. Maybe since I am 35 my voice just decided to change right when I begin singing higherstuff because at the moment I cant do it !! Frustrating...

Hey Liquid Drummer, I really enjoyed your vocals. Great job covering both Perry and Tate. I actually liked the Tate cover better. Are you in a band?

2. Ill be alright without you. (crappy mic because this was the 1st one)
3. After the fall ( Voice was a bit rough in a place or two and the vocal track has some weird treble issues I couldnt eq out) Turn down the treble !!!
4. If he should break your heart. (vocal track was too compressed and MONO DUH and I messed up the lyrics but happy with it mostly and happy with the high adlib I did at the end)
5. Lights (pitchy in a place or two but minor)
6. Feelin that way. (rough vocal day)

Also did A queensryche cover of "I dont believe in love" which turned out ok and this is on the same page..

Because I can only sing like that for short periods of time due to some issues that would require surgery to fix. Deviated septim, sinus and alergy issues. I have not been able to breathe of both nostrils at the same time since I was 12 ! I just got used to it I guess and dont think about it much. It does cause me to wear out my voice quickly but I am working on that too. i think I have been singing too hard or loudly and just began trying to sing a little louder than my normal speaking voice. I think I am finding my way perhaps.. Time will tell. Oh and I smoke !

Well, if Journey is still on the hunt for a lead vocalist, the list is getting pretty dang short. Let's see, with Jeremey and Arnel now possibly out, it leaves whom?

1. Steve Perry
2. Hugo
3. Kevin Chalfant
4. Jason Kelty
5. Tony Mills?

Is there anyone else?

Yeah there's still a boatload of possibilities.

Clay Aiken
Reuben Studdard
William Hung
Justin Guarini
David Hasselhoff

I also believe Michael Jackson isn't doing much these days, he might be interested.

But my number one pick has got to be William Shatner. If you've ever heard his rendition of Elton Johns' Rocket Man. Pure goosebumps.

I still think they could sell pulling Castro from behind the kit letting him sing full time.

Dude, you need to post some clips again. There was demand them in here the other day from Granny.

Once again here is the amazing Jason Kelty... If anyone here has seen this guy live you would have shit tie dye !! I did and it was colorful ! This guy did improv vocals that blew my fucking mind. I would say that he has or had a higher range than perry even and of course is what Journey has needed since perry left.... A true natural high tenor....

I never heard of this guy, LD. He's fabulous!

Is this clip recent?

Suz,

I believe that clip is from the late 90's when Escape was still in play. I seen Jason with Escape in Columbus IN, in late 1995. He was friggin really good back then.

Here's a link to his current gig:

I had a deviated septum, and the breathing difficulties that go with that. I had surgery at age 19 and my breathing ability improved dramatically. The surgery entailed shaving some of the cartilage off from the right nostril. I recommend you get the surgery done...it will make a HUGE difference in your quality of life.

That sounds like a dead ringer for Perry, are you bs ing on that link..the whole song was dead on by that band..I'm a christian also, and trying to ram it down someone's throat is only going to make them run.Jason could sing with Journey,I think God has more important things to throw people in hell for..I hate seeing people waste a GOD given talent..

That link is 100% legit. Jason Kelty (at least the last time he was heard) would easily be Journey's best choice. Kelty versus Pineda is like Perry versus William Hung....no match.

I don't know if its that much of a difference..William Hung..c'mon.. Arnel isn't that bad,he's decent..Jason is awesome..I played that clip for my bro and he was like that wasn't SP ? he is really good about hearing voices.I tried to fool him with JSS and others..He knew right away. With Jason,he didn't know..Even the band sounded legit..Too bad he won't do it..I think Journey fans would overly approve and Perry might be shocked..LOL
