Does being the number one female ENTERTAINER of all time merit the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame though?

Nope. Besides, Christy Canyon and Ginger Lynn are the top 2 female entertainers of all time anyway.

Madonna in the pop music hall of fame, or ugly skank hall of fame = sure.

Not the rock and roll hall of fame though, if it was really a true rock and roll hall of fame. What it is is the hall of fame for formerly stoned out hippies who think the Grateful Dead walks on water.

FUCKING Deep Purple own the most played riff in rock guitar history - where the living fuck is their nomination?

Is that a person? :?

Yeah, he was in the running for Journey vocalist.

LOL! He almost had it too...

Actually, it is a person - he's a DJ and he was one of the first "pioneers" of hip hop/rap in the 70s.

By the way, Journey does deserve to be there on their merit alone. Forget the bullshit happening now. They were too good for too long to not be there, and you all know it.

She is not rock and roll and deserves herpes.

And Prince is Rock n Roll?

Those guys, along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, helped create heavy rock/metal. They're a defining band in the genre, along with being influenial AND popular. They should be in, along with other metal bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden as well.

Here's a good quote about the RRHOF...

Paul Stanley of KISS wrote:The beauty of America is that you can basically start any kind of private club you want to. This one happens to be called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a very impressive name for a club but it's an illusion. It's the creation of a group of industry people and critics who decide who they deem as qualified to be in their little admiration society. It's their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but it's not the people's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Have you ever voted? I know I haven't. That's why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, besides having people who very much belong in there, have an abundance of people who most people will scratch their head and not even have a clue who they are. I don't have anything against anybody who's been inducted, but more than a couple of them are a joke. A band or musician's impact is measured by how they change and influence society and other musicians. That and how many albums and concert tickets they sell should be what gets them into the Hall of Fame. As far as I'm concerned it's a private club with a misleading name. It's a sham.

That was Ladysmith Black Mambazo who backed up Simon.

Of course they also did other stuff :)
