Well I became a Perryonlyfan ever since Perry was "let go" in Journey, and that is the way it will stay for me!!!! Perry deserves MUCH credit for the fact that HE still has legions of fans that continue to love and support him all these years!!!! I believe that speaks VERY highly of Perry's talent, and the respect that Perry has rightly earned with his fans, and his music carreer!!!!

I think you have hit it... he has earned the respect of his fans. Sure, I will act like a loon and defend him to the death, but that is because I respect him. He is a first class human being who knows that without the fans, he wouldn't be where he is today, unlike other rock stars who shall remain nameless.

Thanks for the kind words. For the record, I honestly don't consider myself a "Perry Loon". I'm simply a fan of the music of Journey, and have ears and eyes that function. I honestly don't know how even the most vociferous Perry hater on the planet can deny what the history of Journey is. Look at what Journey has done with Perry and without Perry! It's quite clear who made that band go, in spite of what all the Neal fanatics say about him being Journey! Journey has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (except make complete fools out of themselves) without Perry.

I've also never bought into the idea that Perry owes anyone anything! This notion that he simply didn't sing long enough is absurd! Jim Brown only played 7 years in the NFL, and all football fans still know who the guy was! His career wasn't diminished, AT ALL, despite the fact that his career wasn't as long as some had hoped it would be!
