Departure - the band

Does anybody know what's happening with the band Departure? Their last release appears to have been the utterly bloody fantastic Corporate Wheel album with new singer Timothy Lewis. I have searched for updates on the Escape Records website but with no success.

Seriously folks, if you like the Journey sound you will likely love the Corporate Wheel album. Lewis is an amazing singer to boot, shame he didn't get to audition for the frequently vacant Journey post. Perhaps he got stuck in the revolving door!

Singer sounds like Kevin Chalfant. I hear perry-ism's in his voice, but overall he sounds like Chalfant.

At least the band went off and recorded original material. That's more than can be said for most of the tribute acts out there.

Despite the name this particular band aren't a Journey tribute outfit and have at least three original albums to their credit. Timothy Lewis is a great singer and very reminiscent of both Chalfant and Augeri at times.
