ALIVE & ROCKIN' DVD

Postby PianoMan1986 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 2:55 am

Well, it's a great DVD, but I'm afraid it does have a couple small drawbacks. The first being that it's only 9 songs (although I'm forgiving on this one since they were playing a slot at a major festival on a tight schedule). The other being that the keyboard mix seems a bit soft (the same seems to happen when I've seen them live) -- that being that I'm a keyboard player myself. Otherwise overall, the DVD is great to have with the current lineup and I highly reccomend it if you can get a copy. It was amazing to see a bunch of metalheads rockin' out to Foreigner and to see Kelly Hansen climbing up the side of the stage to get the crowd roaring. Anyway, my own little personal review on the DVD. Enjoy

Nick

Picked it up, stared at it and put it right back down and picked up U2 Vertigo Live in Chicago instead.

9 songs, I think 8 of which are on the Extended Versions CD (which costs about 1/2 as much BTW) anyway?

No thanks, boyz.

Awesome DVD! Just bought it and it is totally worth the money. This is a new and revitalized Foreigner, the new lineup kicks ass. Kelly can sing the hell out of most of the songs. The only song he can't hit is Jukebox hero, where his voice noticeably cracks during the real high notes. This can be overlooked though, because he makes up for it with his awesome stage presence and energy. Besides that little vocal issue, Kelly is the real deal, I am very surprised with how he does the catalog justice. Great dvd, high quality production, clear video and good sound. For anyone interested in Foreigner, this is something to pick up!

Circuit city has it. I bought it the first day it came out and went back like two weeks later and they had another copy. I was surprised. Also saw a copy at FYE. More places selling than I would have thought. Foreigner is getting some good distribution on the dvd.
