True, he did sing sing one or two pre-Infinity songs... ...once Evolution came out, he didn't do that anymore. The band played the instrumentals up to around 1980 or so, but that was all.

Not true. I have a few boots from the Evolution tour where they did "On A Saturday Night", "(She Makes Me) Feel Alright" and "Next" with Perry and Rolie sharing leads.
And on whatever planet he rejoins Journey (because it ain't this one!) he sure as shit wouldn't be singing any Augeri songs, and it's probably a real good bet he wouldn't be doing anything pre-1978 either.
