ROR/FTLOSM tour question

Postby amaron » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:35 am

Did Journey perform Foolish Heart during the ROR Tour?

if not, (stupid question) did SP on the FTLOSM tour?

I'm looking to get a live version if anyone has it. ;)

Not sure about performing it with Journey, but he performed it on some of the FTLSM boots I've seen.

Are you looking for a live audio version? Or video? I can upload a live audio version tonight, if so.

Journey did FH a few times. It wasn't permanent in the set list, but it did happen.

He did perform it on FTLOSM tour, every concert. There are several boots out there of those concerts. Awesome tour, by the way.

I love videos/boots from this tour. Most of the Journey stuff is tuned down to match his aging voice, but he still sounds amazing! Im not a loon, but I do love SP and I still think he has something left in the tank. The man can still sing, now if he would only get off his ass, I would be a very happy person. :D

I would love to know where you get your misinformation. Tuned down? No dude, not tuned down. Sped up yes, tuned down, no.

Stupid ass.

He/she is not stupid. Some songs were tuned down for the FTLOSM tour & even a loon like me can admit that one.

You and I are about ready to tangle. You don't know half the shit you speel. Prove it to me "inside exec" that songs were tuned down. You lot are the same idiots that said songs sung by Soto in Journey weren't the original key.
.

Bring it.

Note- If he is talking about FTLOSM, then yes, definitely tuned down, however, ROR was NOT tuned down.

Oh God Dean go listen to ur boots from FTLOSM & compare it w/the original recordings. He tuned down for some songs on some nites.

For the record, this lot (if u mean me) NEVER once said Soto tuned down. In fact, when that was being spewed here I argued that he was singing in the original key. Get ur people in lots straight please.

Sorry I should have explained more clearly in my original post, I was posting from a computer at my work, so I was in a hurry to finish during my break. Anyway, I was referring to FTLOSM. It is very clear that some songs are tuned down. The point of the post wasn't to incite a bunch of "stupid ass" insults and name calling, rather to just point out that Steve Perry even when singing a song in something other than the original key, still sounds far better than most singers singing the song in the original form.

As far as Soto, no it wasn't down tuned, it is just that Jeff's voice has a different frequency response or timbre to it. A good example with this is if you look at two brass instruments (trumpet and saxophone) playing the same exact note at the same octave, they will still sound like two different distinct notes because they have different timbre. As far as I can tell, Jeff sang the songs in the original key, put his own spin on them, but kicked maximum ass.

One last thing, my name is Josh, so that should clear up anyone who didn't know and had to say he/she when referring to my posts.
