Jeremey Hunsicker Looks Like Steve Perry

What I heard was that he was the #1 pick, then Jeremey, but they wanted to see Jeremey live, Journey new all about Hugo from his Valentine and Open Skyz days, but they were still hung up on the "Perry Look". Even after Jeremey auditioned, Hugo was the guy untill JC came across Arnel on Youtube, brought Arnel in and decided to give him a shot. Journey management was very high on Hugo and wanted to go that way, knowing that having him as a frontman would sell tickets for there next tour, but JC and NS will always do what they think is right even if it is flat wrong, Hugo would sell out venues, hell he sell's out every place he plays now!

There's a couple of flaws in this. They were seriously looking at Kevin Chalfant before they saw Jeremey. & it was Neal that came across Arnel. Perhaps they considered Hugo in the middle of all this drama tho.

Also just so you know, Journey was considering Hugo long before Jeremey and Arnel, and he did not have to audition.

I cant remember where I read this, but I thought Neal said they never considered Hugo b/c he was too much like Perry.

That was 10 years ago, he was at the front of the line when JSS left

Do share, cuz I've always said Hugo is who they should get if there's going to be a replacement. What's the story. Did he refuse?

Well, Journey Management is smarter than I gave them credit for. I honestly think Hugo would have sold lots of tickets, but either way you look at it, Journey will still a parody of itself no matter who sings because ALL the contenders are tribute band singers.

I agree, it doesn't matter who is there, but I know Hugo would get the average fan very excited

Well since neither of us can provide any factual proof of this, it's moot. If u look at comments on Arnel's videos on YouTube, u can see for urself where the guy who put some of them up talks about Neal contacting him in order to reach Arnel.

To get back to the original topic of this thread, I don't personally think Jeremey looks that much like Steve. However, my daughter who has met him and seen his show on a couple of occasions does see a resemblance. I also showed my husband pics from shows and from Jeremey's pics of his family. He thinks Jeremey looks a little like Steve. Maybe people see things differently, or maybe I'm just very discerning when it comes to Steve Perry. I think Jeremey looks like Jeremey and that's fine enough.

Thanks Sandy! Yep that's the one.........I have # 6 of 7. It was funny at the SB airport, I had forgotten I had it on, and a guy was staring and smiling (too funny, me and my friend were a little freaked out at him boldly smiling at my chest ) he leaned over and whisper something to his wife and they were both smiling. He moved his shirt out of the way a bit and he had on an MR tshirt.....must have recognized the JSS logo. LOL, smiles and chitchat all around after that.

Oh and just an FYI for ya gals when you're flying. I guess mascara is a "paste". I got flagged when I went through security in SB airport and had to go through again because I had "a liquid in my purse". The only liquid I could think of was my tiny little eye contacts case? She rifled through and pulls out my mascara and said this was it (considered a liquid or paste). Ridiculous! So I had to put it in a little baggy of its own and go through again, trying not to giggle the whole time. No problems in Chicago or Calgary or any other trips I've taken the last couple years. My friend just thought the little Hitler type woman was on a power trip.
