Even the kids get it!

Postby Natalie » Thu Nov 29, 2007 12:40 pm

This was so funny I just had to share-

Today my husband asked my eight year old daughter, Abby a (hypothetical) question; he said "do you want to go to another Journey concert with me again next summer?" She rolled her eyes at him and said "Dad, that band is soooo over!"

If she is talking about current Journey, she is right. Otherwise, get her some help immediately.

Kirk is an alright dude, except that God awful lid he wore in Baltimore..remember that shit? Dude sported a Los Angeles Raider lid..and the worst part was the bill was perfectly straight..looked gayer than Charlie Brown sucking off Linus as he played Open Arms.

Yeah, what the hell? If you're going to wear a hat, put a curve in the bill, for heaven's sake.

Well, if that's his biggest flaw then I guess the first half of your first sentence would have been sufficient, but if it makes you feel better to add the rest, then so be it.

PS-that "lid" is gone!

Can't believe I missed this.
Los Angeles Raiders!!!!
Lester Hayes, Mike Haynes, Howie Long, Alzado, Marcus, Cliff Branch.
In 84 they humiliated the (at the time) highest scoring team in the history of the NFL, the Washington Redskins.
I remember the Skins/Raiders played a reg. season game in RFK. Skins won by 37-35 I believe. But Marcus Allen was hurt and didn't play in that game. Later in the season the Raiders traded for Mike Haynes. Hayes and Haynes were able to shut down the great Redskins receivers on their own allowing the rest of the secondary to shut down Riggins.
Blew them out 38-9. Total domination! They were voted the 20th greatest team in history according to the "America's Game" series. Those are the Raiders I grew to love. Got kind of misty eyed watching it with the current state of the team. I say that team was Top 10 easily!!!! Great squad! I still have several LA Raider hats. Out!!!

But those good years in LA was the pits for Bay Area sports fans. The Raiders is and should always be known as the Oakland Raiders.
