video of fog moving into the san francisco bay. it's breathtaking if you happen to be driving over the bridge at this time. it's as if you're driving over the surface of a cloud.

Hey that's where my sand is from huh lady?......code waves coolness!
Love that water wall thing, would love to see that sucker all lit up at night!

Yup - the sand came from right below the deck I was standing on to take this picture. :) I will see if I can find a water wall pic at night - I'm sure they are out there. :)

I found a few pics of the Williams Water Wall at night - not as good as what I would take, but I think you get the idea.

This one is taken from a distance and you can see someone standing in front of it. I've been told that is a very popular place for marriage proposals.

Up close shot of the water coming down "inside" the wall.

I love that picture. I youtube'd tornadoes several weeks ago, they are so fascinating (if you're not in the path) and there is some amazing footage out there.

I youtubed twisters a while ago, too...after I saw the t.v. commercial for the "Twister Sisters" - it is gonna be on Dec. 11th. These ladies take paying guests out during storms to chase tornados! Tornados freaked me out as a kid...those scary warning sirens...all those times of being woken up in the middle of the night to be dragged down into the cold basement...The Wizard of Oz...but, now I gotta watch this weird show. :?

Thanks for all the cool pics of everyone's home towns...amazing beautiful places I'd love to visit. :)

Hey I LOVE your city....amazing place.
I loved the whole area. I could move there quite easily for something different to do. What are the nicest suberbs in your opinion? Not the most expensive, but the nicest.

I saw a lot of Burr Ridge (when I stayed with Jimmy P....bloody expensive.magnificent!) and Naperville / Aurora while I was in town the week prior to the show. But what else are nice areas?

Naperville is real nice, my sister used to live there. Most of the surrounding ones are good too.
Good schools out that way too - very nice, family-oriented areas. If *I* were choosing, I'd choose a northwest 'burb like Mount Prospect, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights... I'd want to be near I-90/Northwest Tollway, because it's easy to hop on that and come into the city.

I like Park Ridge because it looks more like the city than a 'burb (because it's right on the border of Chicago), but it's expensive as shit.
Also right on the edge of the city (and 5 min. from me) is Schiller Park, which is where the Frig lived. LOL! Not much that's hot about that 'burb though. I find it boring.

Wow... the Wombat moving to my town! (or near it) That would be just neato. I would hang with you. I'm fun. :D 8)

The Northwest burbs are where I grew up & my family still lives. The I-90 was built right through the farms near our neighborhood...gads, that dates me. We could see the traffic from our front window. All the farm land got gobbled up by new developments & roads (some of our neighbors houses were bought & torn down to expand) & I hardly recognized anything 2 yrs ago...it is a very nice place to raise a family, 'tho. At least, the forest preserves are still there (unless greed gets that, too)...it is where I told my husband to scatter my ashes. :)

Here's a webpage of where I live. It's from a Scottish site designed to attract visitors to places in Scotland and there are too many pictures on this page to upload them all seperately

Found elsewhere are pictures of Hamilton Racecourse's Grandstand, horse race meetings are normally about 2 per month in season and New Douglas Park, the ground of local football (soccer) side Hamilton Academical; who also happen to be my team :D

This is Oban... where I live now. God, I hate it. It looks alright on a sunnyish day, but that's about as far as it goes.

Image

And this is Bournemouth beach... a few miles away from where I used to live. How I miss it.

I can sure see why. Looks nice.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Trekkie Alert!!!!!!

Everytime I see a pic of that bridge I visualize that Klingon ship sliding under it to crash in the bay and release the whales.

I think I'll spend the evening watching all the Star Trek movies with James T in them while I scatter Christmas do-dads and what-nots around the house.

It was by far the best of the Star Trek movies. People in the theater in Lynchburg VA even clapped and cheered when that ship landed. :D

Me too Steve, but the one where James T went back to get him was well worth the angst. I actually cried when he destroyed the NCC 1701 though.

The south coast is nice. I used to live in Devon in Plymouth in the South west. As well as Living in Scotland, in Helensburgh.
There's a lot of beautiful little places on this wee Island :)

I'm in the Northwest suburbs. I live in Buffalo Grove. I grew up in this town. My parents bought a house in one of the first subdivisions here in 1965. For anyone who knows the area, Arlington Heights road was a dirt road through town, and Dundee Road was 2 lanes. I lived in the same house until I grew up. We had a creek that ran behind our house. We spent many summer days playing "back by the creek" or in the corn fields that used to be at the end of the street. None of the kids in the neighborhood had a ton of money, but we sure had fun! I moved back here with my husband and daughter in 2001. If I had my way, I would move farther out in the suburbs to have more of that "country" feel again. It makes me sad that my daughter has never caught a tadpole or played hide and seek in a cornfield with her friends. I have also lived in Lake Zurich and Mundelein. I loved Lake Zurich and would go back their in a heartbeat.
