Love Charlie Brown. The Christmas show was on last week, too, and our Tivo picked it up. My kids have watched it three or four times already. We still have A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on the Tivo, too.

Yep, our kids love it too.

Almost forgot the Grinch also, love the Jim Carrey version too, lol.

Just saw Santa Clause 3 too, all of those are pretty funny also. Elf is also hysterical, lol.

Charlie Brown was on last Tuesday night, too. I had to babysit for my roommate's brother & his wife. They took the two oldest girls to see Hannah Montana, and I had their youngest girl and baby boy huddled at the tube watching it.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is and always will be my favorite Christmas movie. :D

My daughter (2 1/2) and I checked The Great Pumpkin this year, she loved it as much if not more that I used to.

Disappointingly, she didn't like Chuck Brown Thanksgiving or Christmas NEARLY as much.

Quote time?

Eddie: You surprised to see us, Clark?
Clark: Oh, Eddie... If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised than I am now.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned the old Rankin/Bass shows like Rudolph, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, etc. I really enjoy the old Little Drummer Boy show, but it's a hard one to catch on TV. I have tons of Christmas shows on video and DVD, and I also have March Of The Wooden Soldiers with Laurel & Hardy (my son loved that when he was little). The old shows we grew up with are still the best.....and yes, I own a leg lamp ornament too.

The little drummer boy got canceled. Something about hip problems. They hired another guy but they had to pipe in the drum parts. Then they hired a third guy who really was excellent but for some unknown reason they let him go. They now have some garage band drummer and are remaking the little drummer boy for release in 2008.

Clark: Eddie, can I get you anything? Refill your eggnog for you? Drive you to the middle of nowhere, leave you for dead?
Eddie: Nah, Clark, I'm doing just fine. (Breaks the thing on the table.)

Oh & Eddie's "Shitter was full!"

I'm not one to condone men beating on women, but in this case, I gotta say, he should just let her have it.
That little snatch has had it coming for years. Long ago she should have been wearing that football where the sun don't shine.

That whole tirade is pure comedy gold and one of the best scenes in the whole movie, if not the best.
I finally just replaced my copy of that... a traditional watch every year, as is of course A Christmas Story.

We've watched most of these already. I remember our daughter "watching" Elf on the way back from Europe (when we adopted her). It was a plane with those video screens in the backs of the seats and she started and restarted that movie about a hundred times in the 8 1/2 hours it took to fly from Amsterdam to Detroit.

Yep, it's hysterical  , & I also noticed something recently that I NEVER noticed before in the gazillion times I've seen that movie...where Ellen's hand is on Clark when they all freeze, & she takes her hand away to shake hands & puts it right back on THAT spot, my husband couldn't believe I had never noticed that!

Charlie needs to dry hit her right in the pooper. That would definitely straighten up her attitude problem.

Lucy was so me as a child.
Think I'll be watching it with my kids, thanks for the reminder Dave.
