This is so sad to hear. I loved him.
On my way to better things......I found myself some wings

Dream the joys of pearls and gold, And our angels wings in flight unfold.

This is so very sad. :( I loved his songs although I wasn't a fan.
He was virtually unknown in this part of the world, which is a shame.

RIP,DF.

I am saddened. I first enjoyed his music when he released "Souvenirs" - he must have been in his early 20s then. I have that album on vinyl and then I bought it again on CD a few years back. A loss to music, and of course to his family and friends. Another one gone too young.

If Journey were to ever do a covers album, 'The Power of Gold', would be a good fit. I put this in a covers thread over at BT years ago. Jon Cain actually replied and said that they might do that song live some time.

That's my favorite one by him...RIP. :(

I can't bring that song to mind. I know I've heard it, but it's escaping me right now. I wonder if it's on YouTube.

Oh hell yes NIG, as soon as I heard the first note of guitar I knew it. It's gorgeous and it's making me weepy. Thank you for finding it.

I posted in the Styx conference as well, but this song has been on my "someday wedding song list" for over 20 years. A friend of mine had an arrangement of it at her wedding. It's an absolutely breathtaking song.
