Brady's starting to wear very thin on me. Can't WAIT until they get bounced in the playoffs.

Hey, Ricko looks like I was wrong about my preseason 8-8 call on the Pack.

I take my crow medium rare, if you please.

I'm not sure where exactly this story came from, but I guarantee you that these quotes are completely BOGUS! I am the biggest NFL junkie on the planet (to the point that I watch NFL Live on ESPN twice a day), and I guarantee you that if these statements were actually made by Brady, or anyone else on the Patriots, it would be the lead story on Sportscenter and be widely reported on EVERY website that had ANY mention of anything, related to the NFL!

Hey NIG...

I knew there had to be some goofy explanation for it, but I offer you our buddy JoePa as exhibit A, who took the bait, and thought it was a legit quote. I've listened to Brady long enough to know that he simply isn't dumb enough to ever say anything even close to that! By the way...what is "The Onion"?

Bullshit, it didn't pass my initial smell test, and Brady's growing cockiness makes me want to see him earholed. It wasn't just b/c of this alleged quote (which is a total The Onion thing if I ever saw one).

Before you go DEFCON 5 on me proving that Boston invented sports and the Pats invented football I do concede they're maybe the best team I've ever looked at.

Well, your response certainly didn't make it look like it didn't pass your "initial smell test"! In fact, based on your response, it looked like you bought it hook, line, and sinker! As for Boston inventing sports...Not sure where that came from! There are MANY great sports cities in America, and yes, I count Boston as one of them! As I've said many times, I accept the fact that everyone hates Boston right now. The Sox won it all...The Patriots haven't lost...and now, the Celtics are even good. I'd probably hate a city too, if they had that much success, all at once. I'm still going to enjoy every minute of the ride! When it's the next city's turn, I'll gladly step aside, but for now, it's our turn!

Nah, the quote just prompted me to say Brady's become annoying now and no, it's not just because they're winning (they've always won) it's because he lobbies for calls every time there's an incompletion or a rusher gets near him and he talks trash at dbs.

I'd have to say top to bottom Detroit has the stongest teams.

Red Wings > Bruins
Pistons > Celtics
Tigers > Red Sox
Lions < Patriots
The Tigers are going to be very tough with the addition of Cabbrera. They're talking of moving Granderson from hitting leadoff to #9 in the order. :D Lineup is that strong.

We can agree to disagree. First and foremost, the Bruins don't belong in the conversation with ANYONE. They are an embarrassment of an organization, and have been for MANY years. I say that even knowing they have the 4th best record in the NHL, at this very moment. As for the Pistons and Celtics...After watching every minute of last night's game, you're certainly not getting me to concede that the Pistons are a better team. In fact, if they played 10 times, I think each team would win 5! The Pistons won that game on a free throw with no time left in the game, so that doesn't tell me they're a dominant team, over the Celtics, at this point! I will tell you that it was a blast to actually watch a good Pistons/Celtics game again. It brought me back to the days of Bird, Laimbeer, Isaiah (knucklehead), and all those guys!

As for the Lions...we agree on that point. They're as embarrassing as the Bruins are! I'm convinced Matt Millen has incriminating pictures of someone in the Ford family! The guy should have been fired three years ago, but magically keeps himself among the gainfully employed!

As for the Tigers...there is ZERO question that with the addition of Cabrera, (who I think is a stud player) Detroit will have a VERY formidable lineup! That said, if this guy doesn't stay away from the buffet line and off of the Oreos, he'll be on the Richard Simmons deal a meal plan, before he'll be appearing in a World Series for Detroit. The Tigers may set a TON of offensive records, if guys like Sheffield can actually still play (he faded faster than a bag of Doritos in Cabrera's locker last season)! The other thing to consider here is PITCHING! First and foremost, FORGET Dontrelle Willis! The guy is a stiff, and doesn't scare me, even a little! He might be able to help out with a pinch hit here or there, but he'll have an ERA approaching 6.00 in the American League! The Red Sox have a FAR better pitching staff than the Tigers have, and if they land Johan Santana...FORGET ABOUT IT! There isn't a team in baseball, including Detroit, that are beating Beckett and Santana in a short series!

You have to take into consideration that the game was played in Beantown. For some reason this is a huge factor in the NBA. I've never understood how a playoff team can play at home and win by 25 then play the next game on the road and lose by 25 in the same series. It's pretty common in the NBA playoffs. That being said if the Celts/Pistons met in the postseason. I'd take Detroit in 5 or 6. :D

I love Mondays. Reading about the sorry Lions. It's been a tradition with my brother and me. Although I really like Marinelli and Kitna as people. The good ole days of Darryl Rogers, Wayne Fontes, Monte Clarke. It has always been great reading. Ford doesn't know anything about football. He knows that Ford field is sold out week in and week out, that's it.

I haven't seen much of Willis cuz I don't give a rip for the NL. But I guess the Tigs were hopefull that he's just been in a slump last year, and he'd be helped playing in cavernous Comerica. Anyway, any positive contribution they can get from him will only bolster a strong staff. I'm liking it. BTW, the Tigers have done very well against Santana the last couple of years. :D

Dude, does your employer offer drug testing? I thought John from Boston brought your quotes up from a year ago.

Red Wings are better than the Bruins. you get one point.

Celtics are superior to the fuckin Rods it isn't even close. even

You do know the Red Sox are the fucking MLB champs right? -1

The Pats haven't lost a fucking game. -2

Kid Rock is from Detroit- -3

-1= bad take
-2=dangerously close to embarrassment
-3=dick in your mouth. Ask the wife for a jizz towel.

John from Boston just wiped his ass with the city of Detroit.

Uh, dipshit. You do realize the Pistons just beat the Celts in their own barn right? The Pistons have been a strong force in the east for the better part a decade. The Celts may have had a bit of a rebirth. But Detroit would beat their ass in a series.

10 years? How the fuck you pick the number 10? Ok, how about the number 30? The Bruins and Celts have won more than Detroit ever has total.

Okay, I believe our discussion was about current squads. Has Boston won more total? I don't know. Congrats Dean you finally won an argument. Give yourself a pat on the dome.

I'm still not sure how exactly it is you're 100% convinced that the Celtics have no shot against Detroit. Listen...I think Detroit has a VERY good team, and have been the class of the east for the past 5 years (in spite of Cleveland smacking them down last season). I'm pretty sure at this point in the season, the Celtics still have the best record in the entire NBA, even after losing to Detroit, and have fewer than half the losses Detroit has. I'm quite confident that the Celtics, with their three hall of famers, will give Detroit all they can handle in the playoffs! I'm not predicting a win by the Celtics, but the fact you seem to think this Celtics team is somehow going to be steamrolled by anyone tells me that you haven't watched them play very much! I can assure you that if you think this is the Celtics team that has been off of the NBA radar for the past 15 years, you'll learn pretty quickly that this team has a bit more talent than you're giving them credit for!

As far as discrediting Boston with The New Kids On The Block...Okay, I don't have much of a comeback for that. That said, off the top of my head, the following are all from Boston:

Aerosmith
Boston
The Cars
Donna Summer
Staind
Godsmack

While I'm certainly not a huge fan of all the musicians mentioned, I think their credentials FAR exceed those of the embarrassing New Kids On The Block (Although, I'm willing to bet that they sold 10 times as many albums as Kid Rock sold)!

As for your claim about Detroit having 4 championships in the past 10 years and Boston only having two...I think you might be forgetting about the Patriots! They have won three championships since February of 2002, which by my calculations means Boston can claim FIVE championships in the past FIVE years! If you're going to throw numbers around, at least have some facts to back your claims up!

Anyone watching this Green Bay/Chicago debacle? Jesus...The Packers look AWFUL! They're actually making Chicago look like a team who played in the Super Bowl last season! Anyone thinking Green Bay was going to give Dallas a game in the playoffs better think again. I think it's wide open in the NFC as neither Dallas, nor Green Bay look like dominant teams, at all!

On another note...If there are actually any Saints fans in the world, start the petition to fire Sean Payton. This guy called four straight run plays and Philly stuffed them to take over on downs. How the hell a coach calls 4 straight run plays, when he's actually fighting for the playoffs, has Drew Brees as a QB, and is down to his third string running back, is beyond me! What a dope!

Is the score still 28-7? I'm actually going for the Bears (you know why ). I haven't looked since the beginning of the 4th.
As far as the Saints go...I'm not getting that game. The ass-rape that Indy is giving to Houston is on here.

Nope...35-7! Chicago has two defensive TD's and two blocked kicks! Green Bay has really looked atrocious! If I'm a Green Bay fan, I'm not making any travel plans to go to the Super Bowl, this season! I say they're one and done in the playoffs!

Yup. I just flipped to Fox to see some of the game. It's not looking good at ALL for the Pack. GOOD FOR ME THOUGH.
And on CBS...the Texans are just getting stomped by INDY. Which is also good. :-)

Jacksonville 49...The Raiders 7! Talk about "running the score up". God, the Raiders SUCK! What a miserable franchise! Someone should put Al Davis out to pasture! He and his "commiment to mediocrity" are old and tired!
