Journey Albums

I know, I may sound like a rookie, but for Christmas today, I got The Departure record, and Evolution record, to play on my record player. I am really glad that I have them as records, they just sound better to me, maybe its just the feeling though, but I am thrilled!

Must say, I can't see anyone wanting to go to a vinyl in this day and age! Maybe keep them as a collectible, but with the digital age I'm much happier with cd's! JMHO.

well I see what you mean, I do prefer that over vinyl for sound quality, but I am collecting them on vinyl just to have them.

im with Kop on this one Jim!! 8) .. ive still got most of my original albums.. they STILL have the same defects.. those pops take me right back to the year i bought it.. BAMMMMMM '77.. etc.... like we used to say.. if it dont pop.. it dont rock.

sometimes i bought 8-tracks.. its still ingrained into my mind those crazy track changing fade outs... then.. fade in... :D

ill still take analouge over ALL digital... i love those early cds that had AAD written on them ,, sounds more tough.. more live.. more CROWN!!

Actually...I LOVE the vinyl versions of the old albums (of any band) better than digital. It just sounds more full on vinyl to me. I'll take "Lovin' You Is Easy" on record any day over the CD version. :-)

There's nothing wrong with collecting or listening! I'm just saying I wouldn't mess with them anymore. I collect cd's and dvd's. I've probably got close to 800 cd's and 70 or 80 concert dvd's. I can't get enough. I'm really looking forward to several releases coming up soon...Toto, Winger, Stan Bush and many others. Music stores love me!

Digital is definately easier, but it doesn't sound as good. I would love to go back to vinyl and there has been a resurgence in popularity and availability.
