Casual Journey Fans

Postby youkeepmewaiting » Mon Dec 31, 2007 3:04 am

. . do you sometimes wish you were one?

Casual fans have very little idea of the politics and bull that surrounds this band. All they know is that Perry know onger sings for them, and hey half of them dont even know that. Casuals can just enjoy the music for what it is, seems such a simpiler life.

There are times when you dont want to be known as "The Journey Guy" to all your friends....especially when many of them just sit back and sing along to Faithfully or Dont Stop Believing and have no clue that anything is different today than it was in 1982.

I think the "casual Journey fan" probably isn't much of a fan of the band. Those fans are really simply fans of the music. As Scarab said, most of those people have ZERO idea what the history of the band is, and if they were at a concert with Arnel 6 months from now, they would simply assume it was the same guy they heard singing the same songs 25 years ago! These "casual" fans are definitely the ones that Cain and Schon care most about appealing to, which is why they selected a guy they believe can sound the most like Journey sounded like 25 years ago!

Bingo! I agree 110% with this.

Congrats btw.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I've said this already....any casual journey fan out there is now listening to either Justin Timberlake, Matchbox 20 or Rascal Flatts.

They've moved on, because it's all a joke now.

The only one's left are the psychos....and those that don't have a firm grasp on what year it is.

Everyone 's got the right to enjoy whatever music they want. Be it something from the 80's, or 20's or whatever.

It's how they relate to the music that matters mate.
