Realization - It's over!

Postby roycap » Wed Jan 02, 2008 10:28 am

This was their final opportunity to cash in and deliver one last final tour. The set up was perfect: No lead singer; band is back in the public eye again with shows like The Soprano's and no major acts touring in 2008 (Zeppelin - Maybe). They could have had the stage to themselves this summer with a mega tour if Perry had been asked and agreed to join up for one last hurrah. Would have been a major success and no one (even Soto and Augeri) would have complained. They would have been booked on every network for appearances.

Yet, what are we stuck with - a cover band named The Zoo with a special appearance by Schon/Cain & Valory.

How's that for a 2008 let down.

Nice note,

I agree, do the guys need the money this bad?
I was bummed out in 98 when Perry left.
But felt now is the chance to bring someone in who will rock, and what did we get Arrival (only the Ballade is more soft).
I like augeri and I know it wasnt him that wanted the ballads, and Soto would have really rocked em.
I am hoping for a few good songs on the next CD, but it wont be Journey.
Just a band trying to sound like the so called "legacy" sound.

Beg, plead, borrow, steal, whatever, Neal should have been on his knees to get Perry back for a handful of shows.
But maybe better yet, let it die now with the luttle respect the band still has.

Maybe if we agree to start an exwives fun for theband????

I think they do. I think they're still working because they absolutely have to to pay the bills.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Maybe being under that financial pressure makes for really bad business decisions...

Like firing a front man who kicks ass?

  It was an innocent thing too. I was using Shoot 'em up, which is a moniker I picked up from playing Half-Life online. I wanted to get away from that on here because it didn't fit here. Why I signed up with that name I'll never know.

I'm glad they're back in action. I love seeing the musicianship of these boys live. I say tour as long as you're able to and you have an audience. I'm also glad the classics will sound more like the originals this time around. :)
