Just wait till he get wiff of the horseshit and dust from the county fairs.

You're talkin' bout a little dust and horseshit like it's fricken poisonous gas or something. Whatevs...I will make an assumption and say that you've never been to the PI. (Philippine Islands) Manila especially due to the huge amount of overcrowding, while it has lots of beauty, also has so many noxious fumes in the air that horseshit and dust fall way below on the hazard scale.
Pollution in Asia is steadily worsening and is directly responsible for the death of thousands in Beijing, Jakarta, Seoul, Bangkok and Manila, according to the World Bank and the Stockholm Development Institute (SDI). SDI says that sulphur dioxide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides have been rising steadily over the past few decades and ground level ozone concentration has increased. Air pollution in the continent has now surpassed the combined emissions in Europe and North America.

According to the Bank's 2000 Annual Review, in Manila alone more than 4,000 Filipinos die each year because of air pollution. The mortality figure is the third highest for a city in the east Asian region after Beijing and Jakarta. Bangkok and Seoul were ranked 4th and 5th.

Beside the deaths, 90,000 Filipinos in Manila also suffer from severe chronic bronchitis, costing the government 7 percent of its gross domestic product in terms of health costs, the Bank said, citing statistics from the World Health Organization (WHO) which did pollution and health studies in 126 countries last year. However, the air pollution death figures in other parts of the world are even higher, says the Bank, noting that yearly, over 40,000 die in India, 6,400 in Mexico City, over 5,000 deaths in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Horseshit and dust...Arnel will laugh that shit off. The cold virus can attack anyone, the article also mentions that Arnel insists that it hasn't affected his singing voice, once that album is released...we'll know then, won't we?

Y'all be cool. Seriously...reading this fine board has almost been like reading soap opera digest.
There is alot of dust mould and flies and other shit Arnel will be exposed to,that he wasnt used to. Steve A had all kinds of allergies and stuff that messed with his voice.Arnel had a "cold" after his first session with Journey We will See

Yeah, when Cain sings melodies/backup, all that dried up semen flying out of his feminine mouth probably sprayed poor Arnel. Friga needs to carry a bottle of fuckin Listerine with him on stage, much like Augeri carried asthma medicine.

Somebody should hurry up and warn Arnel of three very important pieces of info:

1. Why he shouldn't be alone with Cain,
2. Why he shouldn't answer calls from Cain,

and...

3. Why he should be uncomfortable whenever Cain mentions "five-ropers."

Now it's dust mold and flies? Ha....flies are an everyday occurence in the PI. We probably have more flyswatters per capita than any other country in the world. Dust? Did you not read the part that talked about Air Pollution? Dust ain't industrial strength, try carbon-monoxide 8) You want danger...try the incurable Dengue Fever transmitted by the mosquito. It ain't that bad..until you get bit, but it's limited in where those "skeets" are.

As for a cold?

Let's see a cold after 7 weeks in wintertime in the Bay? Not unheard of, especially for many people who live there that don't practice and record 11 new songs in addition to 12 classics. There is a reason it's called Flu and Cold season here in California starting as early as October to as late as April. So is it really that much of a reach to say a guy in the Bay during flu and cold season can catch the common cold? No.

But I agree with many that say..."We will see." We will indeed.

Yeah, the flies aren't the problem in P.I. it's those little tiny mosquitos. They are potent little bastards. Make you itch the bite for three weeks straight on the average. And when you wake up in the morning, you've been itching them in your sleep all night until your bleeding. That's what bothered me about it.

As for the cold, when your singing regularily in a band, your throat is tender and usually there's a coating of mucus that protects your throat but that coating comes off when your doing serious singing. In turn the slightest bug can screw up a person if they don't take care of it right. The great one told me how to protect my throat and vocal cords before, during and after performances and Arnel is very aware of the same technics.

That's why if your singing on a public mic at places like karaoke bars with a bunch of drunks and people from all walks of life, your going to be getting sick no matter what, ESPECIALLY if you accidently tap the mic with your lips and make actual contact. I did it on mistake once and it put my dick in the dirt with no let up for a few months.

We won't know how this stuff affects Arnel until he gets out there. My mom is from England. When she goes back to visit, she has problems with allergies and asthma. She comes back to the states and the problems go away. Her sister lives in England still. She also has allergies and asthma. When she comes here to visit, she doesn't even need her inhaler.

[quote="jrnyman28"]They needed to do that with Steve as well. They have never supported or backed their lead singers. The only question now is whether or not it is too late to learn from their mistakes...[/quote

I agree they should have done this in 1998 with Steve Augeri,. take advantage of
the internet to get samples of their music out there and promote themselves, instead of waiting for the
rec company to do it and then blame SA for them mot selling cds etc.
They will never learm/
I agree they never support or back their leadsingers. If they continue to tour 8-9 months a yr 5-6 shows a wk 2-3 hours they will do the same thing to AP they did to SA then they can blame him for everything too.
I donl;t see how with a new unknown singer how they are going to play a 10,000 seat arena unless it is with another band. would consider it if it were DL or Styx or Poison however not Bon jovi.

roycap wrote:Schon/Cain do not want anyone to know that SP is not singing. Most casual fans buy tickets to the show assuming they are seeing Journey, not a facsimile. If they promote Arnel, ticket sales plummet. Who wants to see a cover band unless you are a fanatic of the band such as ourselves.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just like 06 when they did not want people to know that SA was NOT coming back to the tour like they said he would be. People spent alot of money on tix thinking they were seeing SA and he never came back, They just kept telling everyone he would to be "monitored to see when he might rejoin the tour"
They did that to save tix sales. Even the casinos were not commenting or telling anyone anything.
I asked if SA would be back for a casino show.
Then they blame SA for everything after they toured to death. That is just greed.
As much as I love their music, to me without SP or SA it is not worth it to me to go,.
Just my opinion. Only saw one show with JSS so it not fair for me to comment based on that one show,.
He is very talented. Sucks what they did to him and to SA, I donl;t think they will ever learn. It is too bad.
