Britney Wheeled Out on a Gurney!!

UPDATE: Britney has arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We're told as she was brought out of the ambulance, she flipped off the waiting paparazzi. Oh my god. That Britney's shameless!

OMG THE DRAMA! TMZ is there as Britney Spears was just wheeled out of her home on a gurney by paramedics! Why god why?!? Look at that shot of her inside the ambulance -- she's frickin' smiling!

We're told Britney is being taken to a local hospital on a "medical hold" -- essentially a mental evaluation. Cops found her earlier this evening at her home under the influence of an "unknown substance."

Cops were called to the popnightmare's home in Beverly Hills this evening after she reportedly refused to return custody of her two kids back over to their father's bodyguard. Oh the insanity of it all!

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Pop star Britney Spears was taken to hospital for tests to see if she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and for a psychological evaluation after police were called to her home Thursday night to mediate a custody dispute, a police spokesman said.

Spears appeared to be conscious as she was rolled out of her Studio City home on a gurney about three hours after police and ambulances arrived there.

The children were returned to their father, Kevin Federline, who has primary legal custody of the two sons, a police spokesman said.

Doctors at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles will decide whether to invoke a California law that allows a patient to be held for psychological evaluation for 72 hours, the police spokesman said.

Aerial video provided by local television station helicopters showed Spears on a stretcher and surrounded by police and paramedics as it was rolled to an ambulance near her home.

Spears has been in a heated battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over custody of their two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

Federline, Spears' former backup dancer, holds primary custody of the children. Spears has been in trouble with the court earlier concerning her compliance with court orders in the custody case

jesus-a, this dumb ass is going to have to die before she realizes what the fk she's doing to herself and her family. So tragic. Where is all her "close" friends and family? Put her in a mental home ASAP and keep her there for a long time.

What a train wreck. I heard a little 10 second mention of this on the morning news... it didn't even get the kind of time her recent antics have been getting - dare I HOPE that means even the media is getting tired of it and we can finally stop hearing her name every minute?

Just cut her off from those kids once and for all. T-Bone's right, she's got no business being around ANY children. "Unknown substance"... niiiice.

I think she should be adopted by Susan Smith. Better yet, get Britney dunk and high and let them take a ride somewhere. A place near water would be perfect.

Maybe that guy who was proven to be the legal father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter could take care of Britney's kids......AND Britney.

I cannot believe she still has ANY parental rights to those kids! If that was just an average person doing what she has been doing and acting the way she has, parental rights would've been taken away long ago! The stupid bitch has been given every chance to clean up her pathetic self and she can't seem to or even want to do it.

How sad. Those little boys of hers deserve to have a mother they can be proud of, and one who loves them as well. Why she's still allowed to be alone with them is beyond me. Maybe this latest brohaha will change that. How can anyone be that starved for attention???

That remains to be seen

Lindsay Off, Back On Wagon

Oh, for the good old days, when Lindsay Lohan's biggest PR problem was a loose-lipped, empty-walleted ex-boyfriend. You know, like this morning.

Since then, the actress has suffered an even bigger assault on her privacy, with her lawyer acknowledging that the recently rehabbed star temporarily fell off the wagon on New Year's Eve, after video footage of the incident leaked online. (View the clip.)

The video was shot at a nightclub in Capri, Italy, where the actress rang in the New Year after being feted at the city's 12th annual international film festival. Lohan is seen drinking champagne directly from a bottle while celebrating on the dance floor, before handing it back to a friend.

Her lawyer, Blair Berk, said the release of the video was unfortunate but that the situation had already been privately dealt with.

"After being handed a champagne bottle while on the dance floor in Italy on New Year's Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor and got herself back on track," Berk said in a statement quickly after the video first surfaced on TMZ.

"There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her 'one day at a time' with the entire world."

Lohan's "one day at a time" began—for the second time—on Oct. 5, when the 21-year-old checked out of the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah, where she had been receiving treatment since August.

She left the facility with fellow rehabber Riley Giles, a 25-year-old snowboarder with whom she began a relationship while undergoing treatment. They relocated to Los Angeles and quickly became paparazzi favorites until their split in late November.

But Giles didn't prove to be as tight-lipped a former flame as Lohan—or her mother—may have hoped for and ended up selling a tell-all on his lust-fueled relationship with the actress to Britain's News of the World for a reported six-figure sum.

In his no-holds-barred interview with the tabloid, Giles revealed that Lohan made a move on him shortly after her arrival for treatment for alcohol and cocaine abuse. "Sex became a key part of her recovery," he told the paper.

He also recounted some of Lohan's alleged benders and said he feared she may not be able to maintain her sobriety while in L.A.

"I worry because it must be very difficult to keep up your recovery," he said. "Lindsay has a very addictive personality."

Dina Lohan, the actress' mom, wasted no time in blasting the tattletale, telling People Giles only dished the dirt to get back at the Mean Girls star.

"He took desperate measures to hurt Lindsay because she broke up with him," she said, going on to deny gossip reports that she phoned Giles' mother and chewed her out.

"I never spoke to Riley's mom, nor would I blame her for his behavior. Riley is a grown man."

About time people start holding her accountable. She's skipped out on several scheduled depositions -- basically, has refused to sit down and be deposed at all. Finally, they had one scheduled yesterday to last 2 hours, and she shows up almost 2 hours late! Answered about 2 questions, then ended it and walked out. Her latest batch of attorneys have already requested to be released from her case, saying she's "impossible". I can't believe the court has been so tolerant of all her antics... sends the wrong message. She should have been jailed for contempt quite a while ago.

I am in no way defending the nut jobs such as Britney, but the paparazzi they deal would drive me insane. I can't imagine having a horde of idiots following me every place I went. That seems to be as much out of control as the wackos they are chasing.

I don't even sympathize with her on this. It's been let out of the bag that she or her assistant often call the paparazzi themselves to let them know where she's going to be, or she'll call different places to find out if any hot event is going on, so she can show up and steal their attention and engineer the next day's headline. Paris Hilton does the same. It has always irritated me how some stars like Michael Jackson ("Leave Me Alone"), Bobby Brown ("My Prerogative"), or Britney (don't know the title, don't care) will release songs dissing the paparazzi when it's their own freakish and bizarre behavior that keeps them targets of the paps. She is addicted to having the spotlight on her, whether it's for a great performance (the past), or flashing her crotch (the present). People like that need to be isolated from the general public for an extended period of time until they can learn what it is to be a human being again.

I don't feel one bit sorry for her when it comes to the paparazzi. There are plenty of celebs who are able to maintain their dignity when out in public. They go after her because they expect her to do something crazy now. If you don't want people to see you falling down drunk, then don't get that way in public. Do it in the privacy of your own home.

I feel really bad for her. She is reaching out for help, and like someone said, where are her closest friends and her family?

Look, she came into fame and wealth at a very young age. Man, that's hard to handle, especially with peer pressure in the business she is in.

If I were K Fed, here is what I would do. Be supportive. Take the kids, and keep her informed, and help her. Tell her, "get help, and when you are out, we can sit down and get better together." Can you imagine, A) the good will the media will heap upon him? B) The bank she will kick down as a result? C) The Kids well being will be the point of the conversation and D) she can get better. Then perhaps she can move to Montana or Missouri and buy a ranch and have isolation.

I don't think she is a bad person at all. I just think she is immature and alone and she needs time and family.

Oh and paparrazi- leave her alone for Chrissakes!

I pity her for sure. I'm sure there is something good deep down inside, but at the moment she's a completely unmanageable human being, and if she wanted the paps to leave her alone, she'd quit acting out to keep their attention. Apparently she has no family or friends that are worth having around, and that's the real shame. Given the right set of friends and influences, it helps greatly.

But I do get sick of all this "cry for help" stuff from these celebs. Like I said a few months back, they should quit crying and get the help or disappear for the sake of everyone else. Everything I read says she will not take advice from anyone, and absolutely hates being told what to do (even by her attorneys). If she can't even make an honest effort for the sake of her kids, she has my pity, but not my sympathy.

You know, I do actually feel sorry for someone, but it's the kid who gets raised without good guidance, who gets too much too fast, whose parents (and friends) seem to treat them primarily as a meal ticket, and who as a result never develop character. They are used used and spit out by the industry that raised them. I honestly really do feel sorry for those kids. But just like serial killers, these people with bad childhoods grow up to be monsters and menaces, scarcely resembling human beings, and those people need to be dealt with for the harm they do on society. For people like Brit who don't seek help, the law should not be lenient, and enable her above-the-law attitude by doing so.

I get sick of all these celebs/sports stars that say, "I'm no role model for your kids...". Of course they are! They all are! Just not good role models. Kids are going to look up to and imitate these folks, no matter what they say. They watch and they learn. And they do.

None of these people need to be crystal pure, and you know they aren't. I just miss celebs and sports stars that kids can actually look up to -- at least they handle themselves well in public. There are actually still a ton of them, but the media just focuses on the freaks.

didn't have time to read most of the thread, but won't she be 27 soon?

Cobain
Hendrix
Monroe
Morrison
Joplin

all went at 27. Not to lump her in there with them as far as talent, but as a celebrity death pool, the odds are leaning that way...

as far as the paparazzi, she seems to be doing the most to get the most press. Jesus, go somewhere and hide out/dry out.

LMAO, I'm pretty much just following behind agree with all your posts today. I think you are right on the money for the most part. I think alot of it falls on the decisions they make, good or bad. Why can some of them see themselves falling into the abyss and others are too spoiled to realize it and get the help they need. A lot of it IMO, is in the accountability of yourself. How come 2 kids growing up in the same environment with the same parents can have one turn out an upstanding citizen and the other a serial killer? :?

Brywool has a point too, she can easily go hide out and dry out somewhere.....if she's willing to own up to it. Other celebs do.
