Janis Joplin was not a classic rock singer!!!

Oh she was an excellent blues and r&b singer -

and Elton John is not that good of a singer at all - he is a great performer, and he and Bernie Taupin wrote some great songs - but Elty is not a great vocalist.

That is like saying that Burt Bacharach is a great singer.

The man sounds like a dying frog - even singing his own songs, which are some of the best ever written.

There are no words to describe just how badly that list SUCKS! For starters, Janis Joplin was horrible and simply couldn't sing! How the hell they rank her first boggles the mind! I wouldn't have her ranked in the top 500! As for Mick Jagger...He can't sing either! Kudos to the Rolling Stones for being around as long as they've been around. I simply don't believe there is anything even remotely interesting about Jagger's voice! He is a below average singer, to my ears! I'd rank Mercury ahead of everyone on that list!

Paul Rogers has a great voice tho - and Elton isnt bad either............- i like Janis - very emotional - altho in typical singing terms - yeah - i see where you are coming from. Daltrey had great power - he was quite good back in the day.

People, read the header. It is suggesting the voices that defined rock n roll, NOT who has the best voice.

This is why I have XM radio.

XM sucks compared to Sirius. Perhaps that's why Sirius and XM are merging.
