Sort of like an activist in a way. Was a vegetarian for thirty years, a very active AIDS and homelessness awarness person. There are lots of bad things and getting too engrossed over them is not a good thing. It seems that the suicide note hinted how sad or missurable he was with life. Said he was a lonely soul. Maybe all the problems of the world he engrossed himself over could have ultimately pushed him past depression. Could have also been the woman he was with. From what I know, they were together for many years but never got married, but that marrage was about to take place. Speeking from my experiences, I was with the most beautiful woman to me but she was so bad to me that of the years we were together, I was with her but I was more lonely with her then I was without her. That could have also been something that pushed him to do what he did. Never know, but to me anyways, it doesn't matter what it was. I just wish that he could have found different resolve then the one he eventually committed to.

Boston › A Man I’ll Never Be
If I said whats on my mind
You'd turn and walk away
Disappearing way back in your dreams
It's so hard to be unkind
So easy just to say
That everything is just the way it seems
You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be
If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it gets harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be
I cant get any stronger
I cant climb any higher
Youll never know just how hard I've tried
Cry a little longer
And hold a little tighter
Emotions cant be satisfied
You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be
If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it gets harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be
In her response to the lawsuit, filed with the court, Goudreau admits to creating the phony site, but denies many of Scholz's other allegations. (Her attorney Daniel Tarlow didn't return a phone call yesterday.) Pending a final ruling, Judge Isaac Borenstein has issued a temporary restraining order, preventing Goudreau from destroying, erasing, or altering evidence on her computer. Micki Delp, who lives in California, never responded to the suit, and as a result was automatically found liable, according to Scholz's attorney Sue Stenger. Delp could not be reached yesterday. Stenger said a monetary judgment against Micki Delp will be decided in the coming months. While Scholz is seeking damages for the alleged harm done to his reputation and emotional distress, the lawsuit does not specify a dollar amount.

I don't blame Tom Scholz for what happened to Brad, and nobody else should, either.
Brad Delp will always be one of my favorite singers of all time. But he was the one that decided to end his life, and NOONE else did. He, alone, has to take responsibility for what he has done.
For Micki and Connie to blame Tom Scholz is crazy. And on that note, if they were so concerned about Brad and what "Boston" was doing to him... then where were Micki and Connie when he was distraught and contemplating suicide? Apparently, nowhere in sight.
If anything... and lots of folks that have been through divorce can tell you... I'm sure Brad's divorce was worse on him than being in BOSTON could ever have been.

He is a genius, but his people skills are on the low end of the scale. Tom has always had the goods when it comes to music, but his relationships with people have always been horrible. This is a common trait of Asperger's.
Rip Rokken wrote:I never was a huge Boston fan, but Delp's loss was felt everywhere in the rock and roll community. He was apparently a very decent, humble and unassuming guy who by the end was also playing clubs in a cover or tribute band of some kind, for which he apparently didn't even throw around his association with Boston. I would have loved to see the show they did with Michael Sweet on vocals, and there is an audio clip around somewhere of Sweet singing "More Than A Feeling" with them.
