I thought the first one was fun to watch. It was obvious that the people that stayed were there for good TV but I thought Brett picked the right one at the end. I was a little disappointed but not surprised when I found out the whole thing was rigged.

The best thing about the first one was (for the most part) Brett was portrayed very well. He seemed to truly care about the women and the "decisions" being made. Whether it was accurate or not, Brett was shown in a pretty positive light...especially when compared to most other reality shit.

A 2nd season, especially after everything coming out about the first one, is nothing but a cash/fame grab and it diminishes what little integrity there was for this reality show...

I was surprised too when i found out it was fake and scripted. I still find it entertaining and I agree they show Bret in a positive light.
I still have to support and admire him because he does truly appreciate and care about his fans., and always tries to show that by not lying or decieving them and by being honest and making sure everything is fare and organized and that they are taken care of. I think some of artists and bands get caught up in things with a tour and surrounding themselves with people that might or might not be there for them and have their own agenda. While I think that some of them and even SA are truly genuine in their caring and kind nature, it makes it hard for them to see that those not "close to them" or "in the know" truly support them and could lead to those people feeling unappreciated at times.
Other bands and artists should take a look at that and take some lessons from Bret Michaels in the way he handles and treats his fans.
Even though I know it is fake, I still enjoy seeing him and find the show interesting and entertaining.

Good girls go to heaven
bad girls go to hell
The rest of them get rich
And do just what they feel

Well rich boys live in houses
And poor boys live in sin
The rest of them get married
And are never seen again

Well let me tell a story explain the shape I'm in
The girl I had last night had never tasted sin
So I took her to my hotel where I tried to get my way
She said "Wait a minute, Bret, there's something I must say..."

She said If you wanna talk that's fine with me
But if you want more you'd better let me be

Chorus:
Cause you can look but you can't touch
Cause the best things in life ain't cheap
You can look but you can't touch
Cause baby I ain't for keeps

Well maybe I'm a bad boy
OK, so I've been around the block
But I am good at one thing
And believe me it ain't talk

She says you must be kidding
I've heard this all before
Other girls might buy it
But I don't, that's for sure

Now wait a minute baby
I don't want you to go
She said "Don't get no closer
The answer still is no"

So I wined her, dined her, fancy talked
Acted cool and smooth
Got my hands around her shoulder
Two inches from the move

Well I guess I'm about as close as I could be
So I finally made my move, she just said to me

Chorus

Let me show you something
Mmm, let me set the pace
Slid my hand up her leg
As she slapped me across my face

Can't blame a man for tryin'
Wantin' action ain't a crime
I didn't plan on spending money
Just to get a piece of mind

Look But You Can't Touch---Poison

I would rather watch a program about and with someone that at least cares about his fans and appreciates them.

I'm not sure where the thought process leads you to the idea that he "cares and appreciates" anyone based upon the fact that he has chosen to exploit himself and 20 slutty, drunk, pole-dancing bimbettes...he only cares about the fact that he is getting publicity and RICH(er)! And hey, more power to him because we are obviously watching ~ from Blabbermouth today:

Sunday night's (January 13) 9:00 p.m. season-two premiere of "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels" scored a 2.6 in the key P18-49 demo, up +166% from the first season's premiere. The episode in which Michaels met his new batch of ladies attracted 3.7 million total viewers and 2.9 million viewers 18-49. "Rock of Love 2" was also the night's most watched cable program among P18-49 viewers and ranks among VH1's top 10 telecasts in the network's history.

He also is going to be on Extra today, Conan Friday and Regis/Kelly next Wednesday.

It has nothing to do with the show itself,. I have been a fan of his for many years and part of his fan club and I have witnessed first hand how things are handled both at the show and after in regards to the fans and the way things are organized, I know poison has had their drama over the years and no band has not however they have never chosen to lie or deceit the fans and handle things badly.
That is why I support them and Bret Michaels. I know the show is fake I watch to see him and for th enetertainment value.

Leslie....you need to get over this chip on your shoulder that you have regarding being "in the know". It is a band. A band is always going to have friends and people "in the know". It's a way of life. I've seen you comment ad nauseum about not being "in the know" or not "in the loop". Get over it. I don't understand your resentment towards people "in the know". (and I'm saying this as someone else that is definitely not "in the know") Why should a band be criticized for having friends or people that they associate with?? I don't understand that. It has nothing to do with being unappreciated. Not everyone can go backstage or have access to the band. And it has nothing to do with the band knowing that there are MANY fans that support them.....not just the ones backstage. A band is to entertain...nothing more or nothing less. I certainly don't expect to be appreciated by them.....although if that happens that is nice.

Have not seen this show but from the descriptions it sounds like another prime example of why I don't watch much on TV and why it's called the boob tube
