Vault, Best of... and Greatest Hits of course are obviously that - Greatest Hits. The ones you have are the best. Yeah is an album of covers which I totally dig, but I liked the songs they were covering so it worked for me.

Unfortunately no...maybe if they come back this way later in the year.

Also, if you find yourself becoming a Def-loon...
Wal-mart hooked up with them releasing a bonus CD of "Yeah!", containing a bunch of interviews and five more cover tracks including Bowie's "Space Oddity" and Petty's "American Girl".

Points to repeat:

One song does not mean Def Leppard are "going country".

Who says Tim isn't going to rock? (Have you seen the roles he picks when acting, the guy has an edge to him)

Who would've thought Tim would do a song with Nelly? Nelly didn't go country.

"Songs From The Sparkle Lounge" is not the title of a ROCKIN' CD... How could this be "a modern High 'N' Dry"?

Tim McGraw used to rock, until he got married and started singing love duets. :P

Then why don't they guest star on an album for Tim? Hmmm? Phil Collen is on one of the songs from Loverboys new album.

How about this? Robert Plant and Bon Jovi are doing it so it must be cool, right? Then why not do a collaboration with RP, BJ or Tim's famous wife?

As for Campbell, he can just shut the fuck up and stick a poof rock up his ass. He only disses it and calls it that because he wasn't a part of their best rock.

For my last word on the subject for now, if the whole idea was to generate more fans, sell albums and concert tickets then why don't they just do an album like Hysteria or Pyromania? They already did Backstreet Boys meets U2. The news on this album so far has only generated visions of Liberace and Johnny Cash jamming and god knows what, in the after life.

Def Lep and Tim McGraw... sheesh. Those two just don't belong together. So go for that audience, and lose some of your old fanbase in the process... I'd rather see Def Lep and Phil McGraw. :P

Freakin' hilarious, Rip. Still have milk coming out of my nose.

While the thought of Tim McGraw on a Leppard song does make me shudder, it's still not as bad as giving "free" cd's at the gate. Complete sell outs, "Wanna hear us play the hits? Gotta buy this crap cd!" :D

It's because of producer/songwriter Mutt Lange - there are BV similarities between Def Leppard, Bryan Adams and Shania.

Because Mutt wrote them - and sang on the albums too. ;)

Def Leppard had some bad news for fans this week: Well, it's one of the constants in the history of DEF LEPPARD, and we regret to inform you that it has popped up again: the release of the band's new album, 'Songs from the Sparkle Lounge', has been pushed back (even though the date we mentioned two weeks ago was only a tentative date to start with).

The album is now scheduled to come out on May 5 in the UK and May 6 in North America (international dates have not been confirmed yet, but it will probably be May 6 as well). I guess we don't need to tell you that these dates are also tentative and subject to change.
