after 8 years of Journey Forums and 8 years of he said she said. And to be honest after going to several shows and hooking up with other people I can only say I have had 1 bad experience that put a soiled underwear taste in my mouth. I thought my cousin Eddy was weird but these people were off the map, I chewed off the arm of a chair to get as far away from them as possible.
But in 8 years all the rest have been mostly new friends. Enough that when traveling abroad during the summer we have hooked up and had dinner and spent the day sight seeing their town.

When hanging with a large group of people it is interesting though in my observation. Just like high school the large group slowly seperates into smaller groups into their own cliques. Just like the Journey Boards, you have several different groups. Some people feel comfotable at one group while others can post on any board, well unless they have been baNNED.

tHERE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOME FREAK that drives a person ape shit whether it is you, me,him or her.

But keep in mind when trashing these individuals. That person may seem meek or quiet or maybe they have a mole on their cheek the size of a mason jar lid opening. This person may be easy prey to make fun of, they may be an easy target.
Butt....and I say butt, as seen on CNN everyday a person has their limits and can snap.
when they do will it be at a Journey Concert that you did not know they would be at? And will that meek, shy person be standing by a vending machine casing you with bright red lipstick on........ready....waiting. To cut you up into tiny pieces and sell your intestines to the Vietkong Restaurant next door for $5 bucks a pound?

fOOD FOR THOUGHT. Not that I eat intestines.

Carry on, my comments are not to change people, my comments are to think BEFORE eating that barbequed rib on your plate that looks like a finger. Because you know what? It is a finger, don't eat it.
Somewhere a cook is Bleeding to death and is missing a finger.
Now you have read, what you do with it is up to you.

Good post Wix, that is sage advice. I have run into a group just like you describe who are the most wacked out people I've ever come across. They have no morals at all and are not past doing anything....they lie, cheat, stab each other in the back, and play bizarre games. They will use each other and anyone else to accomplish their goals..whatever that may be....don't know..statis in the group? Some just like to play their game...some will even use different identities to achieve their goals...some are players who are seeking people to engage with to fulfill their sick "needs". The worst are the con artists that run a scam and ripe people off....yeah, been a victim of one in particular myself. Then when they are found out for what they are and are called on it they will do everything it takes to discredit that person so they will not be believed. Truly a group of evil minded, mean spirited, sick and twisted people....and some even criminal. Very scary what their capable of doing , so this is the main reason I will never attend a Journey concert again....not because of the band and who is or is not singing with them, but because of the insane, the cons, the players, and the corrupt fans that may be there. :(

I love the movie, in fact, seriously I nearly bought Uncle Rico's Orange Dodge Van from the movie this past summer, it was listed on EBay.
Movie was filmed in the town my grandparents were born.

That fuckhead jrnyval has 400 posts in 3 days. No, I didn't make that up. 400+ posts in 3 days. Good ol Kim Cook, a personal favourite of mine, is also posting in between bites, and Frank Martinez as well.

Fuck, like NIG said, a barrel of laughs.

At least pedro is over there and won't be here. He is toast if he shows his tortilla grill over here.

Okay Dean... Here's the deal, I don't want shit with you, but damn. Val's good people. Yeah, she's out there, but aren't most Journey fans? I've not been here as long as others, but you, yourself are pretty damned out there more often than not. It's all cool, to each their own. Though peeking at the little sidebar tells you the post count, it doesn't tell you WHERE those post counts come from. She's basically in one fucking thread, dude. Not so different than Liam's bar here, servin up drinks and goofballin. Jesus... who the fuck cares where/what she posts? What the hell difference does it make to you? You aren't going to be over there... Or were you already (Mrgoldwhatever - perhaps)? Not that I'd mind, it might break up the maple syrup thing going on right now (it'll turn most people off in the end I do believe, because there isn't much room for actual discussion at this point, just a whole lot of cheering section). For those questioning her working capacity, et al... it's really none of your fucking business. If it were all of our business, I'd definitely question how in the hell so many of you post from work as much as you do. But it isn't, so I don't/won't.

As for the forum, yeah, it's pretty syrupy at the moment. No idea if that will change. I've read through several areas and didn't find much of anything to hold my interest other than the bar area and the little shout/chat thing on the right side of the page. I've never found a time when it wasn't great fun to disarm people with wit in real time chat. In all reality, those people like me (who like a bit more meat in their discussions/education/life) will most likely come here for discussion of substance. I see a place like that as more a place for "official information" (ie. press releases).

No sweat, I just don't like seeing people that I happen to know and like being shit on for no apparent reason. Unfortunately/fortunately, I'd probably make the same sort of post over there had I come across a post like this referring to any of you that I've come to know and...like/respect.

That would actually be somewhat of a change.....and a welcome one. MAde sense to look to the official site for honest up to date info but seems in the past it wasn't happening like that! Fresh start, let's see what happens!!

First off, why would you push for something real over there?

Oh this is the place I come to first. Been that way for YEARS. But there are some people I haven't talked to in a long time that post there. There are different people there than here and I like that sometimes. After all, I can almost guess most of the responses to most of the posts here. Variety is the spice of life right? I don't have much time anyway, but it can still be split between the two!

Gee Deano, I hope you don't think I am cheating on you?!!??!

As I sit here LMAO (<--- done on purpose), I am lovin' my friends a little more now. First off, thank you Panter and Wix (I see here I forgot Arkansas, sorry about that hun!!) and anyone else who stood up for me, it really is none of anyone's business how many posts I made in however little time it took me. I would post more over here but I find absolutely nothing worth my time and effort to respond to. All I find over here is shit like this, mean, hateful and rude posts. I seriously don't care what anyone says/thinks about me. It is none of your business that I currently don't work, but I'll tell you, just because I mentioned it. I've been sick for about a year now, I go to yet another specialist on February 8th. I haven't worked in several months, and, for the one that told me to get a man........I have a husband, thank you. I don't talk about my illness over here because I know so few of you, and why should I bring up that info to total strangers?

Journey is my 'release'. The music and the memories help me make it through the day, and if that bothers any of you, so be it. I really don't care, nor do I need your permission to do so. For those of you going to Vegas that are not rude crude dumbasses, I'll see you there. For those of you that are going to Vegas and don't like me because I have a lot of posts on a message board and you don't, please don't talk to me and act like you're my friend or even apologize to me for being asses. I don't care, I have no time for stupid people. Funny, happy, good time lovin' friends are all I need, and all I want.

Ironic that YOU told ME to get a life.......

Yeah it's looking better. I think I'll be able to handle it there, I like the design and the format of the site now, Perry' bio photo is funny as. Since we have Arnel fronting the band now, probably be none of those "red leather pants" type of threads, but... time will tell! you gotta have fun somehow, all the power to them.

Haven't seen the TBF bio, trying to find it now

I enjoyed it for the most part, but it wasn't near as funny to me as a friend made it out to be. It did, though, fit in well with other MTV films. MTV is one of the most arrogant networks out there, and I think their arrogance is reflected in their films. I sorta get the feeling that they assume their material is way more funny, clever, and important than it is. The humor is generally off-beat, with lots of pauses thrown in, I guess because the humor is so rich they have to spoon feed it to ya in small doses.

I did enjoy the film, but it had MTV written all over it...
