We'd all like to flee to the Cleve for a little R&R every now and then, it's true...

By the way, how much are tickets for your show in Cleveland?

It's seems like anytime you guys play here I don't hear about it untill after you've already had the show.

If your from northeast Ohio originally, did you ever see the Journey tribute band "Escape," I used to know Jason that was the singer in the band?

Hey moron,

I'm from Cleveland, and I've been to Pittsburgh many times. Cleveland is better in everyway!

I've been downtown and in the flats thousands of times and NEVER had a problem. I do not hesitate to walk around in downtown Cleveland and again, seriously, I've never had anyone cause me any problems at all. Cleveland is also one of the friendliest big cities in the country.

Regardless of what you think, Cleveland is an awesome city to live in or visit.

I just said I'm from Cleveland. No one has ever spent more time in downtown Cleveland than me. It's a great city to live in or visit!

Tickets are $10 and $15 for reserved balcony seating, I believe....I never did see Escape - I was born in Mogadore OH and moved to South Florida when I was 10, so I only spent my years as a wee chile up there....I have met Jason and one incarnation of Escape, as they all came to a Frontiers show last year. Bunch of cool guys - I know Paul says he has looked into putting together another Journey tribute of some sort, though not with Jason. You should have plenty of warning to get to the show next Saturday thought - Hope the weather doesn't throw us for a loop!

I have been to 2 seminars and 1 convention there (ya I know - somebody had to do it. ) When I was asked if I wanted to go in May again, I told them I would be sick that week. Just wasn't a place I liked. I found some of the wait staff in restaurants to be a little crude for my liking since I am the one paying the bill. Even the concierge at the Hyatt At The Arcade seemed like he wanted to be elsewhere. IMO

I am hoping they change where the do this convention next year - maybe a great place like Chicago, now there's a great great city!
When in doubt, DUCK!

I spent 4 weeks there a couple years ago. Definately not my favorite city but not the worst. Gotta watch out for those bodies sleeping on the grates. Sorta reminded me of Chicago about 20 years ago. There is still hope.

Well, in all honesty almost everyone that I've ever met that is not from Cleveland but they've visited here tells me how much they love the city and hope to come back sometime. And I'm not asking them how they like the city, they say it on their own. I've had a lot of tourists that are visiting here in Cleveland tell me how great they think Cleveland is, and if I'm in say Florida and someone spots that I have a Browns shirt or an Indians cap on they'll tell me that they loved Cleveland when they were here on vacation.

I'll bet if you asked the members of Journey that they would tell you that Cleveland is one of their favorite cities to play in. I've met many different members of bands like Journey, Bad english, The Storm, Survivor, Foreigner, Night Ranger, Loverboy, 38 special, Giant, etc, etc, and they have said that Cleveland really is one of their favorite cities, no bullshit.

The Browns are going to kick the living crap out of the Steelers next year.

Mark my words, and I mean it, right it down, The Browns will make the playoffs next year and the Steelers won't!

No city has ever not supported their baseball team like the people in Pittspuke with the Pirates. You finnaly got a great baseball stadium and yet no one ever goes to a damn game there.

You have hockey, but no Basketball. And give me Basketball any day over Hockey. And I have a relative that I get along great with who used to play for the Islanders. Who the hell ever wants to play for a Pittsburgh team???

One of my best friends is from Magadore, and he's a singer too. Sounds a lot like Steve Perry for that matter. I've been to Magadore many times. My friend lives near the golf course, train tracks, Dairy Queen, car wash, high school etc, etc. Of course Mogadore's pretty small as you know.

You've lost your mind. Columbus is a much nicer town. I'm sure if you'll take the time to investigate, Cleveland has a much higher crime rate than Columbus or Cincinnati.

I don't think it's very much higher? Plus, don't forget, Cleveland is bigger than them, so that would account for some of the higher crime numbers.

I've been to Columbus and Cincy many times, I don't dislike them, in fact I like Columbus quite a bit. I got to throw a football around for a while on the field at "The Horseshoe." Seen Journey there a few times too.

Sorry...I disagree with you. I'm not from Cleveland and never been to the city, so I really can't comment on how great or how bad of a city it is. That said, I've heard endless people refer to the city of Cleveland (and not the baseball stadium) as "The Mistake By The Lake"! Just type it into any search engine on the internet, and there are endless stories about the reference to the nickname, and not one of them refers to the baseball stadium. Every one of the stories is talking about the city, itself. Again, I'm not saying it's justified, because I honestly wouldn't know. I simply made the point that it's the worst nickname for a city that I've ever heard of! Here is one excerpt from a blog on Cleveland that I found on the internet:

"Mistake by the lake

The correct name for the city in Ohio often referred to as "Cleveland." Located by Lake Erie, nothing good has ever come from Cleveland and the city ranks just behind Paris Hilton, Jean Shorts, and trusting Judas as one of God's worst mistakes."

"Do you smell that?"
"Oh dont worry about that, Cleveland is the Mistake by the Lake, it always smells like feces."

Jesus...Talk about harsh!!!!!

I've spent a good deal of time in Cleveland myself, and I like the city. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.

I actually like Cleveland better than Detroit and Pittsburgh, but it's behind Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indianapolis on my list of favorite big cities I've been to.

Cleveland's old "Municipal Stadium" is what was nicknamed "The mistake on the lake" because they considered it a mistake to have built the stadium right on the lake.

I believe that term was coined at least 20 yrs ago when the city was deplorable. Alot has changed over the years. It really is a nice city now. At least downtown.
