one of the DJ's on a indie radio station put it this way... i am glad that the grammys put her art before her personal behavior... and if you think about it that way...she is talanted and deserves the award.

She should get some help,then resume her career.

And being under the influence on stage wasn't just for 80's hair bands, it's been an industry norm from the Grand Ole Opry 50 yrs ago, through Sinatra, Hendrix, Stones, Doors, Elvis, Zepp, Van Halen, Styx, Nirvana, etc, up to today. But again, stage antics have nothing to do with the Grammy Awards.

I'm glad she won. Her music deserved it.

Well,for me it matters the way the artist presents his/her work on stage...It's part of the "package" if you will.I'm not impressed by a woman who's got talent and makes an ass of herself on stage.

I haven't watched the Grammy's in YEARS AND YEARS, but I did last night and I see a return to actual music, music of substance.

Say what you will about Amy Winehouse, but she is crazy talented and yes, she's got some problems, but her music alone is bringing back something we all need a return to rhythm and lyrics and meaning.

I'm sure people called Janis Joplin worse names than "crack whore" but her talent is still appreciated.

True. When I first heard Amy Winehouse's songs I really liked what I heard...a very retro sound, 40s-50s...hope she can get her personal stuff together & not blow it. Cyndi Lauper was really excited Amy won.

I didn't know who the Foo fighters were until a week ago when I caught their funny 70s spoof video, wearing polyester & wigs - it cracked me up...now, after seeing them on the Grammys - well, that goofy singer is actually CUTE!

I zipped through a lot of the show, like the Rap, but the end of Kanye's song, the non-rap part, sounded really nice- the melody...something about seeing his mother in a dream.

Carole King looks great! Although, she & so many others seemed to be wearing Hefty & space bags. I like Alicia Keys, but is she trying to be another Beyonce type (she was wearing a silver space bag)? I like her better not strutting around on the stage - she has such a beautiful face. Beyonce has one of the best bodies in the business.
Cher? She's looking like a wax museum.

I have Amy Winehouse's 'Back To Black' album, and I have enjoyed listening to her voice & songs on it. A pleasant throwback to the 50's and 60's singers, I think.
But there is no way I would ever pay any of my hard earned money to see her live. Unprofessional nightmare! I don't know which would be worse, buying a ticket and her not showing up, or buying a ticket and her doing the show.
Nice of her to shout her performance, too, I thought.

Nice to see Bonnie Raitt presenting. A class act to follow a most unprofessional Amy.
