I wouldn’t normally praise a tribute band on a forum like this, but here’s one that really does deserve more widespread recognition…..

The Illegal Eagles.

Comprising five extremely talented and respected musicians (Danny Vaughn from Tyketto, Jeff Green, Chris Childs from Thunder, Keith Atack and Phil Aldridge) all of whom have solo careers too, they are currently on tour in the UK as The Illegal Eagles, putting in stunning performances night after night. They play the Eagles material with a passion and energy that you rarely see from the real thing.

I just hope I won’t be disappointed when I see the real Eagles at the O2 on Sunday. After seeing how well Danny and co play, Sunday’s show might be a bit of an anticlimax.
