The reason he has No1's used for both numericals and letters is simple...one opinion, not multiples like the majority on here.

Or utilize knowledge of synonyms and refrain from using words containing the letter 'L'. :)

Yep, that would work. If he wanted, he could duct tape it over the laptop keyboard and it would be like brand new.

Ha, so its for rea_, this who_e time I thought he was doing it on purpose. Some joke about Arne_'s accent.

Most major e_ectronics store have the mini-keyboards (no 10key pads) for about 20 bucks if you don't find one at the Thrifty Nicke_.

Newegg on_ine has this one for 5 bucks p_us 6.50 for shipping

I just typed this post copying and pasting the "l" by ctrl-V'ing the whole thing. That's not too hard to do, and it's still pretty easy to read. I say to start doing that, instead of always typing the "1"s in place of the "l"s.

Negative... I just fixed a Dell laptop for my moms friend. Got it used on evilbay and it took all of 30 seconds to install. Poppped open the hinge covers with it closed, then opened it 180 degrees and lifted off the top plate and the keyboard pops right out. The evilbay keyboard cost $7 plus $6 shipping

Now that could be something I could do.

My laptop sucks to get into, you have to take the motherboard out to get to the keyboard screws. So depending on what you have it might not be so simple, but just remember what order you took things out in...
