Forum Database Errors

Postby Voyager » Fri Mar 28, 2008 3:18 am

Is anyone else getting errors when trying to navigate on this forum? More often then not I am getting a database connection error when I try to read or reply to a post. This has been happening for several weeks now, but has gotten worse in the past few days. Is it a problem with the web hosting company?

didnt andrew say that if tons of people were on at once its tough to navigate... so its probably a server issue?? But Iam no IT expert.
There is so much Journey news now with the coming tour, new cd and the HH interview... ;-) we can be on topic almost 90% of the time!!

I was getting a lot of errors the past couple days, but none today. It's just been REAL slow.

I think Andrew said at one time he needs to upgrade the server.

Maybe Andrew should sell premium forum memberships for $15.00/year to pay for the upgrade like many other forums do? How about it Andrew? I'd be glad to give $15 a year. You wouldn't even have to do any extra programming... just put up a PayPal Donate button.

I just forked over $150 for more memory for my dedicated server. There will be an outage of maybe 15-30 mins sometime and then hopefully things will work better.

Donations always gratefully accepted :)
