He still sounds the same, unlike all the other legends who lost their voices. Farnham can still sing brilliantly, and has been more consistant as a vocalist and a performer as well.

Every Time You Cry live on a tv show and VERY ad-lib mainly to confuse the rest of the "singers"--watch the video, it makes sense. Just a guitar, voice and about 5 tv people that can't sing their way out of a paper bag and still flawless. Sounding that good under those circumstances is a LOT harder than you think (and much harder than a regular concert), and there is no way it was lip-synched.

I have a friend who is a singer and who has a very similar voice to Steve Perry, and he does sometimes perform Journey songs in his band, but he's a much bigger Lou Gramm fan than he is of Perry.

Perry is second on my list and Gramm third.

Yes, he does have a website for his one band for sure, and I think he does for the other one too. I can't remember what the websites address is, I'll ask him the next time I talk to him.

Saint John posted a 2008 youtube in one of the other Gramm threads. I'll link if I find it. He sounds like he's getting healthier. He's been signed to Spectra and releasing a new cd this year.

I'm actually a fan of Gramm's. I always thought the dude could sing his ass off, and Foreigner will FOREVER be tied to his voice (for me). That said, I would NEVER compare Perry and Gramm, as they were two totally different singers. Although Gramm was a VERY accomplished singer in his day, he didn't hit the notes Perry did. I LOVED Foreigner as a kid, but was never really "in awe" over Gramm's voice, in the same way that Perry's raw power and emotion always left me stunned, that a human being could sing like that!
