Talk to me again this weekend and it will be GTA IV. I'll be playing it at a friend's house in a few days.

Due to the fact that we did our Federal return via direct deposit and the last two digits of my social securtiy number..we were one of the 800,000 that were going to get it early over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Not bad considering that it wasn't supposed to start until Friday and only 800,000 over three days were going to get it early.
After all the confusion that was going on when this first started..just glad to have it done and safely in the bank..for now..

Well get to stimulating the economy dude. Go buy a new computer or something. Send your old one to Andrew for a backup server.

Actually sort of funny you should say that..being that I am on a very old computer..and on dial up..imagine how even more slow this site has been for ME! J/K..there are a lot more things going on to be concerned about than getting upset at how slow it's been here or not being able to get on..but seriously..I will most likely be getting a new computer and getting off dial up. It really has never been a big deal as I really don't use the computer much online except for tons of emailing and visiting a few sites.
I'm just still not sure what to go with..here so many different things about DSL, Comcast, etc..not sure which one to go with when we do..

Well for your purposes, if DSL is cheaper, then that's what I would do. Deb and I have gone strictly to cell phones, so going to DSL would require installing a land line phone again. I'm on Time Warner cable, which used to be Comcast here, and the service is terrible. When it was Comcast it was pretty good though. I used DSL for a year and never had a hiccup.
As far as computers go, RAM is king. With Vista as an operating system, you need as much RAM as possible. 3GB if you can or more. If you go with a Mac, then there are others here who could be of more help than me.

Yeah..that's one thing I do know..Ram, Ram, Ram..I already have a land line with being on dial up..so I wouldn't have to do that if I chose something else that required that.
The only thing is..aren't there tons of complains about Vista..or is the 'better' version out yet?
