Finally catching on to the new songs

Postby Rip Rokken » Tue May 06, 2008 12:00 pm

Someone probably already posted this, but I found this YouTube preview of Revelation tying together all the new song clips... it's definitely growing on me! Can't wait for the album...

Rip,

WTF??? You're one of the one's on here who's been saying you're not impressed at all with the clips you've heard!??? NOW you like it? I'm glad though, and I think it's going to be the best album released this year. I can tell in a few of the clips, that some of the songs either come from, or go to some chord changes that are unexpected. This is what has me interested the most... I haven't been this excited for an albums release since Trial By Fire! :D

I keep playing those damn 1 minute spliced samples cause I can't wait for the full songs. Sounds pretty impressive so far! Arnel's voice fits them like a glove. All hail youtube.

They're slowly beginning to grow on me.

Arnel's voice sounds different from track to track, it seems.. very versatile.

Very true, "Turn Down The World Tonight" sounds almost like a Meatloaf tune! I think it's very cool.

I'm really liking "Where did I lose your love". Up-tempo and VERY Journey sounding.

I'm with you on that one! I think it's an updated "Separate Ways" sounding song that's got a lot of energy. I love it!

LOL -- yeah, they just didn't strike me that much at first. It's taken me several listens, but now the gems are coming to the surface. Honestly, I haven't doubted whether or not I'd like the new album -- I always assumed I would. I just wasn't so impressed by the first round of samples. There will be many more things in the full songs which will add to them, I'm sure -- not to mention the excellent production I'm expecting.
