Plausible deniability.
Dude, come on.

You know as well as I do (even though we feel differently about it; you get a tingly twinge while I get a sudden urge to fold my arms, shake my head and smirk), that since the release of "Greatest Hit, A NonGreat Hit, One Other Song That Was On Radio, Some Album Tracks, And Some Songs The Label Thought So Much Of The Album They're From's Still Awaiting Realease (probably on the day the first leg of the TBF tour is announced)" that he's been using the mystery of his craft ("DOES he still have it? YES HE DOES!!!") as a pawn.
He sends cryptic, enigmatic smoke signals out through various mediums, USUALLY right around when Journey has something to do, that sends loons stampeeding into boards predicting his second coming ( ). The recent announcement of demos (that even IF heard we wouldn't be able to date with radiofuckincarbondating) among the rest.
And all the while, there's no LITERAL PROMISE of anything, as you say.

He just leaves that up to the escapees, who keep on locating that perfect, sincere pumpkin patch with Linus that THIS time he will really arrive in.

Awesome post.

Speaking of Linus, this is about the time where she would chime in with, "Steve Perry doesn't have to do anything to make me happy. He has already given us so much music!"

If Journey really wants to make Steve Perry obsolete (well, at least in the being a viable presence in the band sense) they should STOP making Perry co-written songs take up 90% of the nightly setlist, and tour on the post-Perry material only.

An all post-Perry setlist could actually be very killer.

Perry obsolete? get the fuck outa here... Journey may as well be fucking obsolete then!

Man, anyone who thinks Arnel Pineda is better than Perry? is simply a fucking idiot. I don't give a shit, your a moron, flat out idiot - take a hard look in the mirror.

That's my response those Arnel Worshippers. Go play on the freeway... pack of idiots.

Not a Pineda worshiper here, but then I am not a singer obsessor. He is good enough for me, the clips sound good...
Songs are on the radio, Revelation drops in 3 weeks, already talk from Neal of the NEXT album....
