2008 could be a Historic year for ALL Journey fans!

Postby Carlitto H@kk » Wed May 14, 2008 1:15 pm

Holy Shit, folks!
Can this be the year that all the stars align
and EVERY faction of Journey Nation gets
awarded with some new music???

We got the band, Journey, with Arnel putting out
a new package that is looking to be great!

Jeff will have a new album out in September.

Augeri may still surprise us with a release.

And we all know about the little quip in the GQ article
that has all of us, except DAN, in a cold sweat...
Steve Perry may have a new album in the works!!!

Aside from Rolie, Smitty and Chalfant recording a new Storm album,
this could be an incredible year for Journey fans everywhere!!!

Damn!
I ain't had goosebumps like this since
Dawson popped Joey Potter's cherry!!!
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

I wish all involved with any new efforts the utmost success.
However, if Prince Perry comes into play you all may have to fetch me from the hell
that freezes beneath us.

Absolultely this will be a killer year starting with Revvelations and than Jeff's CD. The Steve's just need to get that ball rolling.

Down side is it's going to be an expensive year. Let's see: New CDs to buy, Concert tickets, Airfare UUGH. But at least I'll be seeing 3 our tf the 4. Just have to see where Rolie and Smitty are going to be to complete the package.

It's all good this year. :D :D :D :D

I don't see a Perry release (when/if) making it out before year's end.

But you are right with JSS and Tall Stories I am pleased to say is now being mastered.

Don't forget the Hugo / Ramos project...and, tangentally (via Bad English) the John Waite supergroup project...any news on that one, Drew?
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

JW Project not getting far as yet. Hugo/Ramos just about done and ready to roll. One track I heard was amazing.

Yeah, it has taken him 11 years to "start work" on a new solo CD, I doubt he can get it done that fast. Although he has mentioned that technology now helps him do in 5 minutes what used to take forever.

Yeah but you're still talking 5 minutes Perry time. You know what - I bet that Infinity tour fucked him up and he lost the ability to operate on a basic 24/7/52 timetable. Permanent jet lag. My best math figures he thinks its 2002. He's aiming for an '03 release, so we'll get mid to late 09.

Infinity was also to blame for Neal's afro hanging around 2 years longer than it should have.

What about Augeri's threatened "In The Moment?"

Certainly seems an effective way to hide all present and future nip/tuck marks. Great idea, Rick!
Though between the fro and the shades on stage, people will wonder why Slash joined Journey.

I think it will happen....

Perry sees Journey actually creating a new buzz... and its "double Stevies pleasure" time.....

1. Put out a new CD that takes advantage of Journey's buzz...

2. Maybe put out material that is "better" than the Journey CD... get in a lil' "digg"....

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

No, that was just Neal trying to make up for his crotchial inadequacies, by trying to look more "Harlem"...

That's not why. He just never bothered manicuring the pants-fro, which was just as out of control.
It was all bunched up in there, therefore highly misleading.

And then on a sunny day in 1984 Neal discovered the button fly. And there was much rejoicing.

While 2007 was a great year for progressive rock, it appears that 2008 will be an amazing year for melodic rock.

If indeed Perry is working on a NEW album, I wonder what suddenly gave him the kick in the ass to start singing again? Perhaps he listened to an advance copy of REVELATION and said to himself....hmmmm...this guy Arnel's pretty damn good and JOURNEY just may have a hit on their hands! I think it's time to let the world know that Steve Perry can still belt it out and perhaps make some decent cash, too! :?:
