Windows XP Service Pack 3. Has anyone done this yet?

The installation worked, but locked up on reboot.

Everything seems fine now though.

This is the first service pack Microsoft has released that actually makes your computer faster. MS office 2007 runs quicker too. If you are having problems with the install, boot up in safe mode and install from there. This is really a must have update for Windows XP and probably the last service pack to be issued for the system.

I used the beta version the last 3 months and had no problems, so far no problems with this final release either.

Haven't noticed a performance boost yet, or anything that's different really.

Can you let us know if steam lags at all or if it is the same as before?

No additional lag. I've been encountering lag because my ISP sucks, but that's 'supposedly' being worked on.
