Ok. let me set the scene here.

Boy Inside The Man (Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, album "The Symphony Sessions" Live) 4 minute song is turned into a 10 minute singalong anthem.

This song however...is deep on so many levels and means the world to me. But it means the world to someone else too. A Canadian father lost his son in a car crash in the late 80s. The boy was on the verge of playing Major League Ice Hockey and was a huge TC fan and the father went to his sons record collection and found the song Boy Inside The Man.

He later sought out Tom at a concert when he came to town for a show. He tells TC how much the song meant to his son, what happened and how the song helped the father survive that time after hsi son's death and thanks TC for the song.
TC was so utterly blown away he talked more to the father, learnt all about the boy's life and then wrote another song about that - Big League.

Every time I hear the beginning notes of this song it makes me think of my grandparents still walking hand in hand in their 70's before they both passed away and I can also remmber my parents humming to it as they shot pool in the basement with friends. It's really a song that any generation can listen to.
