Why must you pull Steve Perry's good name through the sludge at every twist and turn, what gives you the right to publically slander
a person's name and reputation like this? I am truly interested in why you feel that because Steve Perry is a public artist that it gives you the right to
make such fraudulent claims against him? You must really have low self esteem to have to sit on a message board day in and out and
write such horrid remarks about someone that you don't know.

I"m not going to ready any more of your bullshit.

Saint John, don't answer until the rationales for a decade of Augeri bashing and a solid year of Schon and Cain utter evisceration are provided.
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001

I don't care if Augeri strummed the guitar parts with his pubic hairs. They didn't waste any of the 300 songs Cain is said to have on his laptop on a dude with a tattered voice. They were creative, but had no voice to sing so they mailed in musical parts that were probably done over coffee while they read Lee Phillips' latest complaints.

No he's not.......especially worldwide. If you lay all of their past work down and ask people who they may have heard something from....I'll wage it would be JSS moreso. And obviously you've never checked out Jeff's past catalogue.......he's worked with and colaborated with, some very talented musicians himself.

Refresh my memory with Jeff's Top 40 hits in the U.S. and how many times he played to several thousand people singing original music. Kevin Chalfant had a #12 album in 1982 as lead vocalist with AOR band 707 and scored two Mainstream Rock radio hits with the #6 “I’ve Got a Lot to Learn About Love” (which also reached #26 on the Hot 100) and the #22 “Show Me the Way” while in The Storm. Your turn.

I don't even know who you're responding to anymore...
By two band member accounts, Journey had no intention of releasing another Journey album until Augeri started writing his own solo material.
Was the band's songwriting apathy due to Augeri's vocal condition? - Quite possibly. It's even an argument I have made several times, but that's neither here nor there.

Like how you just skip over the "worldwide" part of my post. Between his work in Journey, Yngwie and Talisman and his vocals on Rockstar, I think more people "worldwide" have heard Jeff's voice. Besides, my musical tastes DO NOT lie in what is popular or chart topping. I know that EM and JSS aren't selling and charting what the likes of the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlakes are, but I can definately tell you who has more vocal and musical/writing talent. So, you always rattling off chart position and popularity goes in one ear and out the other with me. Your turn. :P

Say what you want . Steve A was good for Journey and would have been even better if the band remembered they arent 20 year olds, and there singer wasnt 20 years old. If they book this year like they did in the past, they will need a twenty something singer or tapes. We will see

HOLY CRAP! I AGREE WITH A STEVEW2 POST!!!!

Also, like it or not, Augeri WAS the catalyst for Generations. It's been said many times.
Regarding Perry... I also am real pissed at the guy for f'ing the band over, which he TOTALLY did during his time with them and afterwards. Equal cut when not performing, writing or doing anything? Might be a smart businessman, but him making money when not performing with the band stinks like Barbara Bush's Douche Bag...

I'm from the UK and was aware of Chalfant many years before I was aware of JSS. Funnily enough it was the song 'Hold on to the Vision in Your Eyes' from the movie No Retreat, No Surrender that first got my attention.

What's funny is my son is 14 and he can't stand Justin Timberlake or Britney or any other singer who gets by on their dancing ability and not their actual talent to sing or play instruments. He was downloading songs on his Ipod today and I asked him what he was putting on there and he said " a couple of Pink Floyd songs I've been wanting on there"  I don't even listen to them! He's findin this stuff on his own

Whew, we finally agree on something......I DON'T think they are in the same league as Spears or Timberlake either. When it comes to talent and song writing, they are head and shoulders above BS and JT. :D

Has Spears actually written any of her songs?

Yeah Eric and Jeff are MUSICIANS with TALENT. The other 2 are hired hacks would wouldn't know a G# from a volkswagon.

I don't care how many shows Spears and Timberlake ever sold out or how many records they sold...neither is nearly as muscially talented as Jeff or Eric.

Hell...Spears can't even lip sync correctly!

You have evidently been sniffing glue, or drinking some shit beer with turpentine in it. Going to have to work on your musical education in California at the end of June I believe...over some GOOD beer.

No go back to your corner and don't say another word for the night Dan.

Great avatar Duncan...! Love that album.. Brittney and Justin are famous because they are young ,now with it and wow! They are made..The others have to work at it.. I think Deb needs to chill on Eric and JSS..They are good ,but they aren't that good. And she says Jeff's work with Journey, what work? Hell,I would have sung for Journey after Augeri left if I could..I'm tired of hearing that Jeff bailed them out..STFU! He has wanted to be in that group for yrs.. He was lucky they called IMO!

Well you can't just open the yellow pages and find a singer to cover Journey's catalog. Journey were lucky as hell that Jeff was available. Of course he wanted to sing for them. Any singer would. If he hadn't been available, they would have lost a lot of money.

I'm a big Journey fan, but I'm not a fan of the way the organization treated JSS or SA. I think they were more than patient with SP though. I guess they decided that was the last time.
