OT: Sharon Stone vs. Robertson and Falwell

Postby Rip Rokken » Wed May 28, 2008 12:37 pm

Just ran across this article about Sharon Stone considering the Chinese quakes "karma" for China's treatment of Tibetens, and couldn't helped but be reminded of Pat Robertson's and Jerry Falwell's comments about God allowing 9/11 to happen to us for being wicked. It will be interesting to see if she gets much of any fallout for her comments like those two guys did.

I hope there's fall out. That's a hateful thing to say! And a downright ignorant one as well...The Chinese people aren't responsible for what their government does.

Its not just what their government does, they as a people do a lot of damage to the environment, animals,
and to each other. One has to ponder though how else a society like that could be run when its overcrowded and
sunk in ancient traditions? We are very blessed to be Americans.

True, but does that mean that 60,000 of them deserve to be taken out by "karma"? Not in my book, it doesn't...

Maybe, not sure. I don't understand suffering, it will be the first thing I ask God when I meet him.

Are you serious? WTF.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

And...sometime we can't tell the difference between the two.

I just mean that we don't know the "whole story" yet...we may consider some things that happen to us as bad things but yet I think we will find out one day that in reality, they were good things.....

Ok, enough of "Deep Thoughts with Nurse Nat" for tonight.
