OT - Bad English

Postby strangegrey » Sat May 31, 2008 11:58 am

Because I'm in a 'Neal is FUCKING God!' Mood...

I popped in some Bad English...so I don't have to deal with the inner demons and the justification of the Perry...

Fuckers Cain, Waite and not least of all, Schon....put together 2 fucking great albums. If you've never given them justice...fucking get them both. Simple fantastic shit!!!

Love Bad English... saw them a couple of times in the Bay Area too. I have Forget Me Not on my "gym" playlist. That song kicks ass.

They were a very good band. Straight to Your Heart ROCKS. I really love Don't Walk Away too - very nice pensive ballad with Neal's trademark melodic stabs accenting the melody of the song. Plenty of other solid tunes too like the hit ballads and Pray For Rain and Ghost In Your Heart

Love both albums - got to see them live twice when I lived in Austin. Tough to pick favorite songs, but right off the top of my head - Ghost in Your Heart, Possession, Time Stood Still, Straight to Your Heart. Definitely underrated.

Bad English and GTR are my fav..GTR being the best..such underated stuff..The Hunter and When The Heart Rules The Mind..two of my fav all time songs..to bad the singer isn't doing much anymore..amazing..amazing voice..getting back to Bad English..I have their videos tape..cool tape..Price Of Love..good ballad..Waite is .. 8)

I bought my first Bad English cd on Record Store Day. It has since grown on me. The first time I listened to it I was amazed at how many songs I knew.
"Bad English did that?! Bad English did that?!"

So I've definitely become a fan.

That being said, looking at them in pictures or watching their music videos tends to make me chuckle.
I mean Jonathan Cain has this cute baby-face. John Waite has got to be one of the prettiest men in the biz. Ricky Phillips is just hot.
And they're all decked out in black leather and studs trying to look so badass!

It's a stupid I know but I can't help it! It makes me laugh! :P

The only one I think that really pulls off the hardcore rocker look is Neal. Deen does pretty good too. 8)

ANYWAY Bad English rocks!

At first I liked the first one better, but then the second one became one of my main go-to albums...

"Ghost in your Heart" gives me a pain in my chest every listen.

I have to completely agree with you, Frank! I love both CDs. This reminds me that I really should add both to my ipod to help me get motivated for morning runs!

Totally agree :D That is a great song!!! The second album is definitely my favorite of the two.. I have always wanted to see "Time Alone With You" live. The writing on that album was awesome!!!

Take care,

I was on holiday in Orlando in 1989. I remembered a show on MTV called ''The Hard 60'' one afternoon whilst I was taking a break from some rays. I saw ''Forget Me Not'' on that programme. I still play that song and that video to this day. Awesome!
