I've heard of the name Symphony X but I dont know where I've heard them from or how big they are. All I know is that they've opened up for Dream Theater for this past year.

Agreed.. I'm not a huge fan but I enjoy the song "The Odyssey" immensely.
I need to get into more of their material, considering they're right down my alley.... even though they over-shred a bit too much for my taste.
