Journey Fan unchecked out of Rehab after 20 Years

Postby WIX » Sat Jul 19, 2008 3:04 am

Was on the nightly news last night as a special.

Guys name is Edward T Bolingbrooke, guy has been in Rehab since 1988 after Journey fell apart, guy was their #1 fan, it litterally killed him, he went into a tail spin and nearly died of a Honest To Gawd Heartache. Guy idolized every member of Journey, dressing up each Halloween as a band member.
He even had custom Steve Perry curtains and bedspread made.
Made his wife change her name to Sherry.

Guy spent thousands on Journey from the 70's to the 80's.

Guy had a 30 plus year collection of Journey Stuff and bought anything and everything Journey Related. Guy lost his home, family and his collection was saved by a family member and has been in storage for the past several years.

They say everyday he would stare at the Journey tatoo on his forearm and sing "You Shoulda Been Gone" over and over each and everyday.

He would also sit and rock back and forth and say "Frig and Fro" over and over with violent movements.

Apparently while in a rehab/ mental institution with no improvement for years, his brother brought him the new Revelation CD AND DVD.

Guy started to show some signs of life, they cut back his meds each week, everyday got brighter. He is now home and has plans to get his collection out of storage.

They say he is still a bit fucked up though, as his first thing he is doing is changing his name to Steve Schon Perry legally. He also has bought two kittens and named them Frontiers and Escape.

Says he has tickets to a journey show in the next few weeks and if he likes it, he will go to all the remaining shows of the tour.

Possibly this could be the Biggest and bestest Journey Story ever and of all time if this guy can get it together.

It just shows that you all have hope here too!! :D

Let's see - the guy went into rehab because Journey broke up in 1988, but he had a 30 year collection of material/ephemera.

Hmmm....

That means he had Journey dating all the way back to 1958. Steve Perry was nine, Neal was four and Friga was what, 39?

Funny anyway!

oh for gawds sake, family and friends still bought him stuff and took it to the facility to try and help him get straight. His room looked like a journey shrine in the mental institution.

His COLLECTION is huger than that Donkey's Tool in Tiuana.
